Since this is of major importance to many figures that would fall under this catagory, like Sarah Connor, I thought I'd drag this over from the video game section. Apparently, Hot Toys has made an improvement to the Hot Angels body. Check it out.

Got to love HT's R&D....
New arms... with no ugly elbow joints... they could have made it more realistically shape sculpt though....

I will be getting one of these to replace the arms on my Amazon Machiko for sure, but how cool is this now if they start making character specific arm sculpts like they did for Dutch, but for female figures. I'd love to see Sarah Connor done by Hot Toys with this awesome figure development.

I only wish Hot Toys could think this far ahead with their first releases of things (Hot Angels body) instead of making previous figures look inferior by improving some part of it later. Makes me feel shortchanged on the original pieces. Is it really that hard to go all the way the first time around?

thats awesome. I will be so excited if hot toys do Terminator 1 & 2 stuff. With what they can do the figures would be amazing.

Are these articulated, with a rubber covering? I think I prefer the ones with the traditional joints. They offer a greater range of motion and won't crack over time. I guess the best solution might be to include both arms sets.

Optional arms would be great, especially if they sell just the body at some point, but I imagine these are posable. I guess we're all still waiting to see how long this new skin lasts. I believe it's silicon which should hold up.

I personally dont like the vinyl covers for the arms.. its a action figure.. but it does look good I gotta admit.. gut I cant see it lasting if you continue to keep changing poses..

Those look particularly well done... don't seem to bunch up. Sure the articulation may be a bit restricted, but seems like a fair trade.

:lol

It's like night and day: in here everyone is happy with the change but in the thread for Sheva everyone is having a fit.

Nah, it's just a couple people who saw progress and said "No, thank you".

And knee-jerk reactions aren't exactly new on SSF.

I for one love it. My only worry is it cracking over time but I don't plan on posing it in stressfull poses anyway and besides rubber (or at least latex rubber) can last a lifetime when properly taken care of. I just hope HT makes an RE3 Jill Valentine useing the new arms.

Love it though I may, I see lots of posts about broken internal 'bones' and joints in this figure's future.
Unlike Dutch's arms... The rubber/silicon (maybe) only covers one joint, the bendy metal bar for the elbows. Breaking the bendy metal would likely be un-repairable
without damaging the rubber/silicon.
