Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Rick (bladerunner) Ash harness

Hey Guys

Unfortunately there has been no Friday update as my family life took over yesterday so did not get a chance to work on customs.

But the good news is that I am off for the next 2 weeks so expects a few more finished projects to be updated on here shortly :rock

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Rick (bladerunner) Ash harness

Hi Pete, Leon's head arrived today. I need to paint his hands and do some more weathering on the clothing (and maybe make a replicant eyeball for him to examine), but for now here's a couple of quick pics of him with body :D :

Cheers muchly,

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Rick (bladerunner) Ash harness

Received my Walter White sculpt back today and Pete's paintwork is fantastic.
Couldn't be happier with this. :)

The figure isn't finished yet so I've not taken any full photo's since it just looks a bit daft , the shirt is too big , he needs fattening up and I still haven't glued the shoes in but here's a few that will hopefully give an idea of how great Pete's paint is.

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Rick (bladerunner) Ash harness

I got lucky with the photo's. :lol
Believe me I suck at taking photo's. I noticed a bit of sunlight creep through the window so got the camera out quick. :rotfl

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Eric Northman (true blood)

Here is a finished (I think) picture of Eric Northman form True Blood. It was a early sculpt form the sculptor and as printing technology is not to the standard of today it lacked dept but I have tried to add that with painting tricks.

It’s my first paint up for the sculptor so want to impress and would like to know what you guys think

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Eric Northman (true blood)

Hey Pete thats a great Eric, I'd like to make make him for my collection. Is the head for sale?

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Eric Northman (true blood)

Looks good Pete, only critique is the hair looks a bit grey. I can't tell if its just the light (so if it is, disregard) or the paint.

But overall looks really good :duff

No for sale currently but i can ask the sculptor if he has any more you can buy :wink1:

It looks a bit more brown in person but i think your right the hair needs a bit more love. When painting it i was trying so hard not to make it look to yellow or green (a common mistake) that it kind of looks grey instead :lol

Having only been doing this since October I'm still learning so thanks mate :hi5:

The best blonde hair i have seen is from Ski. Looks like i will have to look to wise master Ski for some more guidance :bow

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Eric Northman (true blood)

In the "ask section" of the customs forum someone posted a tutorial on blonde hair. Looked pretty helpful although I have not attempted it yet.

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - AOD Ash head

More updates to come this week but i thought i would show some pictures i have taken on my new camera.

Its not a unknown fact that my pictures are my downfall :lol so when i bought my girlfriend a new Canon 1100d SLR camera for her birthday and i was so impressed buy the quality i bought one for myself.

This was one of the first sculpts i painted and the pictures never did it justice so thought it would be a good place to start.

This was taken with no effort i just held it next to the lens and clicked. This will make my job a lot easier :rotfl

edit: and on a side note this head is forsale so pm me if interested

I love and hate all the details that show up in these new pictures :lol
The more details the better but its shows inaccuracy's that are not usually visible to the naked eye :horror

very nice! My only suggestion is to make the patent leather on Catwoman more shiny (hard to tell from pics)

Its a semi gloss at the moment i am going to see what the finish of the outfit is like before i put it to rest :wink1:

Re: PeteSkywalker's 1/6 Customs - Eric Northman & Catwoman

Both look great :clap

And I never really understood posting pictures 10x actual size... makes more sense to have pics more in scale with what you actually see.
