PF Jyn Erso (Rogue One)

The pose she is in really sells it for me....

I just got mine and it's a really nice piece in person. Both portraits are very good and I agree that the pose is nice.

Everyone's pictures pushed me over the fence to order the EX... Just opened it and I have to say I'm rather impressed, it's a lot nicer then I thought it would be....

Received #239 and have her set up and wow, I'm impressed. Great piece! The mixed media is extremely impressive, has to be one of SS best efforts. Both portraits are great, the regular is beautifully done and the one I like most but the EX portrait ties the entire piece together perfectly. The hat and goggles look really great with the coat and pants. The details in the breathing mask, tube and pouch it connects to is great. Paint on the portraits and base looks great, no issues there, however... the antenna on the left side is clearly bent or attached wrong. Contacted SS about getting that piece replaced, we'll see what they have to say. I've attached pics of it below.

Overall, love this piece! If you're a Star Wars fan definitely think about it and if you're a Rogue One fan it's a must buy!

I saw that you also have the Rey PF. What do you (and anybody else who has both Jyn and Rey) think of the Rey statue compared to Jyn? Similar quality? If it is, I'm considering picking it up with my $50 coupon.

I actually did a very similar piece but sadly was not approved by Lucasfilm. Maybe something else will be cooked up down the road...

Rey is a great piece, very happy to have it in my collection. In comparison it is a little less detailed. Jyn just has a lot more going on accessories wise and two portraits. Very nice paint work and mixed media, displays great. I had no issues with mine. I've been meaning to post some pics but I'm in the process of changing some lights and wanted to display it properly with the art.

I believe Rogue One to be one of the greatest Star Wars films and a true movie for the fans. Tasteful and gritty. Not one scene in the movie where they threw in some silly misplaced humour where you could arguably say "that was unnecessary" (Finn in the plastic suit, BB8 ATST attack, C3PO and Battle droid switching heads, entire casino scene, Jar Jar, farting Tatooine steed, Poe trolling Hux, green milk, revised Lopti Nek scene, anything a battle droid says ever, Luke throwing his lightsaber, etc.).

I love this character and everything about R1. I'm having a hard time getting past the $$$.

Abrams and Johnson trivialized force powers in the new Star Wars movies. You have Rey who is instantly in control of all her force powers even though she knows nothing about the force.... Then you have Yoda who can appear as a ghost and control lightening strikes and then you have Luke who can project himself across the galaxy.... Even Lucas is guilty of it in Phantom Menace when he had Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn running around like the Flash, If Jedi's could move that fast they could take out everyone In mere seconds, movie over....

So yeah I agree Rogue One is the best new Star Wars movie so far....

I agree, Rogue One is the best Star Wars movie since the original trilogy hands down. I'm hoping "Solo" is along the same lines as this.

I've noticed that Rogue One is a movie a lot of people have grown to over the last 6 or so months and now that TLJ is out too. I always loved it, depsite the weak character development for most of the characters, the weak villain and a few other things, I enjoy the hell out of it. To make Rogue One actually feel like a family, they should of had them be a unit si'nce the start of the film, which changes a few things during the movie (ultimately they all die in the end still), which easily can be done.

Baze caling Jyn "little sister" after knowing her for about 16 hours always feels so off to me.

RO is THE best SW movie easily since OT. It has a serious tone, memorable characters and a huge powerful threat of pending danger as the film unfolds. Just the right amount of humor- just right. This will be appreciated more as time goes on...
