Those are awesome, jay!

You reminded me that I had a similar shot from a couple of years ago. This one was a HUGE bee, probably over an inch in length, but it was completely unperturbed by my presense:

And, while searching for it, I came across some random flora shots that I had never developed.

And a couple of shots of some blossoms I saw last weekend.

I love the flower shots, Jinxx and RoboDad. :D

I still haven't been doing much photography lately. I forced myself to go out to the coast today, and here's what I came home with:

This is why I want to go to Iceland. I'm so jealous. How long were you there, and where did you go?

I'm not ignoring you Agen! I wanted to post more horse pics with my response but, I have been having trouble with my computer and can't upload pics to photobucket. :( That's why I started the PC or Mac thread.)

For the time being, in answer to your questions: I was there with my wife and another couple for about 8 days (if I ever post in the "Lets See You" thread again, I'll sho a pic of the 4 of us in front of Gullfoss). We spent most of the time along the southern coast and we took one day trip up to the north west fjords to see the Arctic ocean. Very cold and rainy that day!

The highlights of the trip were The Blue Lagoon and The Golden Circle. If I ever go to the European continent I would love to fly Iceland air and have a couple day layover to see those highlights again.

The places I just referenced:

The Blue Lagoon:

The crown jewel of The Golden Circle. Gullfoss (Golden Falls):

It really is a beautiful country! :)

agen, I love that lighting photo. The colors are beautiful. Makes me really miss Florida's thunder storms....

And that Flickr blog one was shot at UCF right? I think I recognize that building.

Here are some I have taken recently.

Thanks for the compliment. Unfortunately, Florida's thunderstorms are much less frequent than they used to be. I loved the daily afternoon thunderstorm as a kid, but now we may not have one for a month or two. Just goes to show how the climate changes from time to time.

The building in the shuttle photo is the UCF library.

Great thread!

I just bought my wife a Rebel Xsi (which means I get to play with it) and hope to start taking better pictures soon. Lot of inspiration here :duff

Cool! You got the variant!:clap

Lovely shots but they hurt my eyes. Too sharp!:google

I've had a strong urge to add a competent compact camera to my arsenal, so I was trying one out today. Overall I hate the camera so far (the ergonomics are OK, but the image quality sucks). However, I did get one shot that I liked while I was exploring an old (and I mean OLD) house:
