I saw on Greg Ellis's Facebook page that he, who portrays Lieutenant Groves in the first and third film, is returning for the fourth. He also stated that it's a larger role. He was pretty prominent in the third film as it was.

Presumably with Beckett and Norrington dead, he's probably next in line to take charge, though I didn't think anyone on Beckett's ship survived the siege, but it was ambiguous enough to get away with it.

I wonder if Zoe Saldana will make a return as Anamaria, just a small curiosity. Presumably she's off pirating with the Interceptor.

She's probably too big now to go back to those movies for cheap, I didn't even realize it was her in that role until Trek came out last year and someone mentioned it. Between Trek and Avatar, she's a pretty well known name now, her contract was probably cheap back when Curse was mad. I'm sure Cruz didn't come cheap.

Yeah and with Cruz being in the movie as, most likely, the lead female, Zoe might be relegated to a smaller part which would be a waste IMO from both an acting and financial standpoint (if her contract is indeed pricey).

Yeah, and Cruz's character ties to the primary antagonist of the movie so she's not just some random female character that you could use anyone you want, there's a plot point to who that female is.

The Dynamic between Cruz and Depp is gonna be so fun to watch I bet. Sparrows interactions with the female characters are always entertaining. (and most of the time hilarious).

I've never seen a single Cruz movie, so I have no idea what she'll be bringing to the table, but Jack's just awesome to watch no matter who he's with, women, men, fish people, walking dead, he's just a nut with everyone.

Oh for sure, I think that's a running gag of every movie, for me, it never gets old, but they also always find a new way to handle it, first movie it was girls he hadn't seen in years, 2nd, Will gets the slap on his behalf, 3rd was the best in my book.

Plus him slapping Gibbs on top of it all was just great In fact, pretty much from the moment Jack comes walking along with the girls to the credits is some of my favorite POTC stuff, just an awesome close, the music and visual of Jack sailing off at the end is just fantastic.
