Look at that new belt buckle. His middle finger looks weird.

I love the slight changes between the films.

I think the look he had in films 2 and 3 was the worst. His hair was so dark and dreaded and the bandana was too sculpted and pink.

His best look is film 1 followed by 4 in my opinion.

This is being shot NOW in 2015 and doesn't come out for TWO YEARS?? WTF?? I think it'll be next Summer..this makes no sense

Maybe there are scheduling conflicts with actors they don't want to leave out or something.

Yeah, they really messed up his hair in part 2 and 3. It was all dredlocks, but there are some scenes where it looks like in the first film. I'm not a huge fan of the hair in part 4, it was too long, it had too much stuff on it, and too light in color, imo.

Part 2 and 3 was so bad, he looked like he had a tarantula on his head

Can't beat the original.

I agree that the hair and outfit in Part 4 was better than 2 and 3.

I HOPE the reason for the late release... is that they are filming part 6 back to back.

Just give me 6 films. My life will be complete.

Here's the plot in a nutshell:

Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Captain Jack Sparrow finds the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost pirates led by his old nemesis, the terrifying Captain Salazar (Bardem), escape from the Devil’s Triangle, determined to kill every pirate at sea…including him. Captain Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, a powerful artifact that bestows upon its possessor total control over the seas.


Sounds like its in keeping with all the rest of the movies: wicked Pirate Captain who has a past with Sparrow, crew with special supernatural power, chasing a mythic McGuffin.

Forbes magazine just did an article that the last Pirates movie in 2011 is the most expensive movie ever made- cost $410 million. Not Kidding. So you wonder how they are going to make this any cheaper??

$410 mill? Does that count Depp's salary, because I really don't see the money on the screen I thought it was the least expensive Pirates since the first film. Part 2 and 3 looked wayyyy more expensive, and you could see it.

Something like $380 million minus tax credits Disney got for shooting in certain countries- Depp got $55 million salary- unbelievable isn't it? He's worth it- it made over billion worldwide and was a HUGE success for Disney.
Disney hid all the production costs by using different production companies making it...very interesting and yes everyone thought Pirates 3 was the most expensive.

New one, even "cheaped up", has to cost $250 -300 million at least

Yes, Johnny has adopted a sick bat while in Australia! But he just fell foul of quarantine authorities by not declaring his puppies when he came into the country.
