Beast Kingdom’s ‘Entertainment Experience Brand’ launches the latest DAH (Dynamic 8ction Heroes) with the wildly popular Davey Jones character, accompanying the previous launch of Jack Sparrow.

Recreating the intricate, monstrous design of the character, every detail including the underwater appearance of Davey is recreated. Multi-layered painting makes the slimy, moss-ridden clothing with barnacles pop into real life. 20 points of articulation combined with a host of accessories such as the broadsword, cane, and the Dead Man’s Chest gives fans ample ways to pose this DAH figure. For fans of the classic Pirates of the Caribbean Davy Jones character, this is one figure ready to take his place next to the DAH Jack Sparrow in the depths of the Caribbean oceans!

Looks pretty cool. Love that he comes with Norrington's sword. I actually just watched 1-3 this weekend and man the CGI is so good on him. I really wish HT would make a 2.0 at proper height with fabric clothes instead of rubber.

This is one of those franchises that just had the bad timing of Hot Toys being in their super early days, and you get the sense that the general popularity of the series has really *ahem* sank by this point. What I wouldn’t give to see what a modern Hot Toys could do with the license though. No one is really even doing nice statues either. Maybe at some point it will come back around to being “cool” again just like the SW prequels or something and we’ll start getting more nice high-end collectibles.

Well Hot Toy's peaked with Pirates around 2007, and then Dark Knight hit in 2008 and a lot of things changed, particularly with Hot Toys.

At this stage, Hot Toys is basically Star Wars, Marvel and DC. Even if Pirates were popular, they've made their decision as a business to focus on specific properties only.

With HT screenprinting tech, they could easily make a new Davy Jones that isn’t encased in rubber, but instead actual fabric with certain parts being attached sculpted pieces. They could just give him a new, taller base body and clothing, but reuse all the other elements and it could be a real winner

It'd be great to have a posable Davy Jones, the original looks good, but it was more or less a statue the likes of early 2000s McFarlane and NECA figures.

Is anyone picking up the Beast Kingdom Davy Jones statue? Found a couple crappy reviews online and it looks pretty bad unfortunately.
