Somewhere around there. Either way, get a signature if you are in doubt and your item costs a lot. I am always nervous when I sell high dollar items. Usually I will put a OR Best Offer option and pick the person with the best feedback who is less likely to give me problems. :lol

And people, don't ask me to ship internationally because I am not about to lose money if the item gets damaged or lost. :lol:monkey4

I usually do if it is $250.00 or more. The only reason I still sell international is because if not stuff wouldn't sell for much. It is a risk though since nearly all have unconfirmed addresses.

Found this, it should help if you follow these guidelines. Play their game to avoid getting played I say.

In order to qualify, the following is required:
Seller has a Verified Business or Premier account.

The seller’s account must be attached to a bank account that is confirmed through PayPal’s Verification process. When you are a Verified seller, not only are you more protected, but you also increase your credibility and appeal with buyers. Verifying your seller account is free and easy to do. Learn more about Verification
Item is shipped to an eligible address.

For your transaction to qualify, you must ship the item to an eligible address. PayPal is continually working to increase the number of eligible buyer addresses. To determine shipping address eligibility, refer to the shipping address area of your Transaction Details page.
Item is a tangible good.

Only physical goods are covered by the Seller Protection Policy. Intangible goods, such as services or items delivered electronically (e.g., software, MP3s, eBooks), are not covered.
Proof of delivery.

To file a claim under the Seller Protection Policy, we’ll need a copy of the shipment record. Always retain proof that the item was delivered to the address on the Transaction Details page. Acceptable proof of delivery varies by country. Please refer to the Seller Protection Policy for details.
Signature receipt for valuable items.

For items with a value of $250.00 USD or more, in addition to proof of delivery, you should provide proof of signature from the recipient. This proves that the item was delivered to the buyer. Many carrier companies offer these proof of delivery services.
Item sent in a timely manner.

To be covered, the item must be shipped within 7 days of receiving payment.
A special note regarding international shipping.

Currently not all countries and regions are covered by the Seller Protection Policy. Please visit the Seller Protection Policy page to learn more.

This seems useful to know as well.

2. Before accepting payment:

Beware of unusual requests.

Abnormal requests can be a sign of suspicious activity. A few examples include:

* Rush shipments at any cost.
* Partial payments from multiple PayPal accounts.
* Payments not received in full.

Be extra cautious with high-priced items.

It’s fairly common for shipping addresses to differ from billing addresses. However, be extra cautious when sending high-priced items, especially if payment is received from one country and sent to another.

Know the buyer.

* Do they have a confirmed address?
* For e-commerce sites with feedback systems, what is the buyer's score?
* Do you have any questions? Get answers by emailing or calling the buyer.

I have also started stating in my auctions on high priced items that bidders have to have confirmed addresses. Usually they ignore it though.

I think it's wise to state that. I only ship to confirmed addresses and so far no one has given me problems about it. One time someone ignored it and I sent them a refund right away. Then they got their address confirmed and it was all good.

Usually people with confirmed addresses are more serious and not out to scam because they have to provide certain documentation that links them to their PP account.
