I think package dimensions factor more than weight, regarding price, but this is huge :dunno

Might be compact packaging but i'm expecting it to be pretty light anyway.

I don't mind lighter but not Rhino light that's for sure. I don't want to feel like my fingers could push a hole through my statue! Just me (and props to our retired friend Bodie for coining the phrase in the first place)

'Eggshell' 'Piggy Bank' :lol
Never experienced the Rhino. Hulk Maquette structure is cool with me.
its discounted shipping probably .... its going to be heavier
All SS shipping is discounted. You still pay more the bigger/heavier the package.
This is $40 a 1:1 bust is $117.

Geez I can't wait to get back to the states. I just paid $97 on shipping for Superman... I think I will have to get this through BBTS, SS will crush me on the shipping if I go direct.

Despite Rhino's weight, he is more resilient than a full polystone statue.

Yeah I'm going to say that's a load of crap. I remember seeing floods of pictures and complaints about him showing up with gaping cracks in the body. Plus I own him. He feels like paper mâché rhino or piñata rhino minus the fun candy we get for breaking him

Drop Rhino, drop Hulk PF.

Let me know how many pieces Hulk PF is in and how intact Rhino is.

The cracks were due to the mold. Mine has none. But with the crevices all over his body and thin nature, the mold could have easily caused those cracks.

I'm not saying the approach with Rhino is better. Just calling it as it is. I have a lot of experience with hobbies, models, kits and WH40k stuff. Fiberglass is very tough. It is used on motorcycle helmets...

So is Rhino like half the weight of Hulk Maquette?

He is lighter than Hulk maquette. The Hulk Maquette isn't too bad actually. He is built the same as many PFs, including Joker PF which is hollow too.

As for rhino, there was a member who had some difficulty breaking his as per SSC's request. It took quite a beating.

Joker is hollow? That's a shock.
I thought all regular size characters were solid.

I've never read a post on this board about problems with a hulk PF being broken during shipment. Its heavy and sturdy as all hell man. I've read plenty of posts about Rhino showing up cracked in one spot or another. I don't normally drop my statues so the drop test doesn't really help me. I'm talking about being in tact when they arrive

And I am positive the Rhino cracking was due to the mold process. Had nothing to do with shipping. Fiberglass is very resilient. Much more so than polystone.

So while yes, when picking up Rhino, it feels underwhelming, do not mistake that for fragility. I am pretty sure I could kick him around my backyard and he'd be fine. (not the head though, that is polystone)
