I have Black Panther as well. Love the pose of that statue but the weight on that one was very underwhelming too.

Rhino was advertised as polystone so that does suck. I wouldn't necessarily have wanted him to be 50-60lbs but at least 25-30 would have been nice.

Another hollow statue that surprised me was the ARH Medusa.

And I am positive the Rhino cracking was due to the mold process. Had nothing to do with shipping. Fiberglass is very resilient. Much more so than polystone.

So while yes, when picking up Rhino, it feels underwhelming, do not mistake that for fragility. I am pretty sure I could kick him around my backyard and he'd be fine. (not the head though, that is polystone)

I can vouch for how tough he is. I dropped a bunch of change into one of the cracks on mine and you can shake it like crazy! Now I am out about $6.50 though. SS should have put a hole at the bottom. :slap

Anyway, the box dimensions must be on the smaller side to be getting those favorable quotes. They must have been very economic in how they packed the GH.

Daredevil Life Sized Bust is extremely light given its size.

All the life sized busts are fiberglass if I am not mistaken. If they were solid polystone they would be way too heavy. If Hulk PF is 50lbs or so, imagine an LSF or Life sized bust... could be hundreds of pounds.

Whatever the case is dude we can go back and forth all day. I don't really care if fiberglass is more resilient then Polystone. It doesn't hold any significance for me. Crack is stronger then pot but that doesn't mean I want to smoke it. I just want a solid statue bro. That's it! :lol

The days of solid statues with SSC is gone. The best we get is semi solid. LSF and busts will never be solid or some people wouldn't be able to lift them.

Yup! 1:1 busts need to be. Still cost a fortune to ship though.

Courriers and dimensional weight rather than actual weight... I try shipping something through UPS, I changed the weight from 20 to 8lbs and it didn't change the price. The idea that this saves on shipping may be premature. The dimensions of the box are more likely an issue.

Well I don't mind partly solid. It doesn't have to weigh a metric ton to get a smile from me. Bats was perfect! Hollow chest and all. Didn't mind black widow and the hollow base. Fortunately I have more then one company to choose from now when it comes to 1/4 scale marvel and I will pay more for a solid cast statue. Just me dude. Not right or wrong. Just my preference

Yeah, I know. Think it's what started this :lol
I think package dimensions factor more than weight, regarding price, but this is huge :dunno

Might be compact packaging but i'm expecting it to be pretty light anyway.

Anyone tried moving the 1:1 Berserker Bust?
The guy I bought it from was quite shocked when I picked it up and walked out the door with him.
Not just weight but size make that a beast to move.

Tavegg, I am not arguing the merits of solid vs hollow. I am only pointing out that fiberglass is tough. I too would have prefered if my Rhino EX was heavier, but I still like him.

How does sideshow handle shipping notices on there products? I've never ordered a product from them other than hot toys but I get the 15 day arriving to wearhouse notice.
