I purchased the PLAY TOY "Bride Killer 2.0" figure recently.
Here is my review.
The front and back of the box.
The inner contents of the box.
The display stand for the figure. It has a removable cover/lid on the base where one can insert an card with the figure's name or graphic or whatever similar to the upcoming larger figure base stands from PLAY TOY.
The sword and the scabbard. The sword is identical to the first version of the "Bride Killer" figure from PLAY TOY. It's made metal.
The figure comes with four pairs of hands. The open palm/relaxed hands are already on the figure. Pictured are the additional hand grips/poses. If changing the grips/poses, be sure to use a hot air dryer on them for about 30 seconds or before removing the peg and do the same before inserting the peg into a new grip/pose.
The motorcycle helmet and pistol.
The pistol's upper frame slides forward. The clip is removable, but somewhat loose. and the cocking mechanism can be moved back and forward (do so gently).
The motorcycle helmet is OK. It is spacious enough to fit snug on the figure's head. The visor does not appear to be movable thus far from what I tried (carefully)
Here is the figure out of the box as is.
The outfit's material feels OK, but it doesn't feel "cheap" thus far.
The rooting on the hair appears fine, but the hair is a bit unruly so a bit of gentle brushing is needed to properly set the hair.
The head sculpt does resemble Uma Thurman a little bit more so than the first version of the figure, but the likeness is still not necessarily there.
The paint application on the head sculpt is fine as is with no noticeable quality issue.
The figure's ..... is not prominent as the first version.
The joints are firm and not overly tight.
After a bit of futzing, I have the figure displayed/posed as I like thus far.
Is the figure a "must buy"?
No, but it will nicely complement the first version of the figure provided if you purchased the first version or if you're into film related figures or if you're a fan of the film and want a good 1:6 version of "The Bride"
I'm pleased with the purchase. I may procure another one to open and look for a yellow New Ray 1:6 motorcycle to display/pose with it.
The figure is available from the "usual suspects". Check with your preferred 1:6 retailers.
Personally speaking, I recommend SMcG Customs.
