The eight cores of this new gen are basically for all the multimedia multi tasking while you game right?

When it was released, people said the i5-2500k was the perfect gaming CPU, which is what I am running.

I think my CPU can probably last until the end of this PS4, XBONE generation, all I really have to do is upgrade my GPU graphics card.

No, the multiple cores allow for more power because at the moment it's very hard to increase a core speed, but you can increase a processor's speed by adding more cores of the same speed. It does mean multi-tasking works better, but it's mainly the easier way of increasing speed without having to actually increase the clock speed.

I do.

I play

Raiden IV
Thunderforce V
XG3
Rtype-Delta
Einhander
Raystorm
Marvel vs Capcom 3

Thats a pretty interesting mix. Retro shmups, an old fighter and the newest Battlefield game. Odd, but it fits you. That wasn't meant as an insult.

i just can't wait to see next gen Graphics .. i know it won't be a Big jump instantly, but still i wanna see how it differs from current gen .

from the current gen i went only wow when i went from component cables to HDMI

It's disappointing that 'next gen' games are clocking in at under 60 fps and lower than 1080p.

I'm old school. :rotfl

They'll squeeze out 60/1080p in a few years.

I want to see GTA V on PS4 (and PC for that matter). The graphics; resolution, textures and framerate/lag, are so bad on the PS3. Especially when driving fast around the city. I've read some people saying the graphics are beautiful... WTF? They don't know what good graphics looks like... must be people with low standards for graphics who only play console games on a small TV. The PS4 could run the game in full 1080p and still maintain a framerate of maybe 40 and above. While it drops down to 15 or 20 on the PS3. So I'm looking forward to it on PS4, hopefully it will be out for the day one PS4 release.

Because it gets to a point where graphics aren't everything.

Every gamer has fond memories of older games they loved that have crappy graphics when compared to modern times, yet they would play that old game in a heartbeat.

Sounds like you are channeling a Wii U owner. :lol

Thank you !

to me graphics are part of the experience.
GTA 5 is a 2013 game. make it look like it!!!

I play both PC and console games. I play GTA V on my PS3 on a 60" 1080p TV and I think the graphics look great for a GTA game. Sure they could be better but when the game in general is fantastic I really don't care about what it looks like.

Talking to me? :dunno

I'm keeping mine. It's too much fun of a game to toss away because of the poor graphics. But the game would've been much better on PS4.

You're right about that, the graphics are decent for a GTA game. But that doesn't change the fact that it's poor and could've been better on PS4. I'm not all about graphics but it is important to me. I'm playing on a 47" 1080p screen and it does look OK sometimes. But when a lot of shiat is going on the game lags, the textures become extremely pixelated. Then there are pop-ins which can be annoying. The resolution isn't even 720p, but upscaled. The fact that it lags just proves my point and anyone who says it doesn't is just lying unless they have an SSD. You play PC games? What's your specs? I once thought console graphics was great until I experienced the true power of high-end PC graphics.

Maybe in ten years this won't seem like such a big deal, but today it's almost hard to believe—PS4 shooter Killzone: Shadow Fall will be close to a 50 GB download, according to a Sony exec.

Speaking with Eurogamer about the benefits of the next PlayStation's "play while you download!" feature, Sony UK's Fergal Gara dropped the bomb in an interview published this morning:

"The Play as you Download functionality, for example, means you don't need the whole file before you go," Gara said. "This is a little bit counterbalanced by the fact the files themselves are getting bloody big. Killzone: Shadow Fall is an uber file - I think it's cracking on for 50 GB. It looks it, too, when you see it."

:lecture:exactly:

exactly. What they did with this game on an OLD console, is amazing.
Of course everything on PC will be better. We all know that.

I go on, what I see, with respect to the hardware it's RUNNING on.
And THIS game looks great on the PS3. I've played the crap out of GTAV and have had no issues enjoying the game.

BETTER graphics on the PC, would not make me enjoy this type of game anymore really.

If it was on PC day one, sure I would get and play that.
But I'm not going to cry and whine about like some are. Still WORTH playing NOW.
Just fricken enjoy it now and enjoy the GAME. lol

Before Watchdogs comes out lol

Ok so I got an email on some of my PO's that I have for the PS4 and BLack Flag, Battlefield 4, and COD Ghost all say they will be there before Nov 1? Why are they shipping two weeks before the PS4 launch? Did I read it wrong?
