PC gaming i like paying for a really high class "escort". Sure it looks and plays a little better but it costs more, you have to become a client and you have to shave your back to impress them and just blah blah blah.
The average punter just wants to get a nice and simple lay, i.e Consoles.

Picked up an X1 at Gamestop midnight, worker said PS4 was outselling X1.

Nvidia boss just came out and said the same thing. And graphically, yes he is correct. PC is and probably will always be far superior as far as the graphics. But you have a price to pay for that. Which is fine.
But overall, all formats have their pros and cons.
As of right now, I feel the better games and immersive cinematic experiences and exclusives are just more of what I want to play on the console now. Despite the fact my PC is better than my PS3 easily.
But I also love the connection with friends and my friends list and gathering trophies, and rivaling buddies for bragging rights, or feeling proud at something I achieved and having the physical record of it and trophy to prove and show it.
That's where the fun is for me right now. That plus, just kicking back on the comfy couch, big TV screen and just pop in and play.
I feel more connected, compared to my PC where I feel isolated and alone in front of my monitor. Unless I'm playing an MMO or something.
Same here. I was last in line about 45 mins before they opened. The manager came out and did a head count of people getting each system. I was the only X1 in line at the time.

PS4 triple wammy of being $100 cheaper/more powerful/less corporate doucheness made it a winner.
But for folks like you and me, it don't matter, we just buy both.

I just went to cdkeys and used the code to get it for £33 for the year.
in the "special free offers for playstation gamers" folded pamphlet. Codes are on bottom of each page.

You probably have the US edition, the EU edition only comes with quickstart guides, Health and Safety booklets and an Updates booklet.
