The standard version of the PS4 is available for pre-order at retailers, but the "launch version" has been sold out for a few days. The standard release should ship out days/weeks after the launch version - I'd assume. It really depends on whether Sony will suffer any shortages in their supply of PS4s, or whether the system will be widely available at retail by the time release date hits.
they have a bunch of bundled preorders for the system. i think there were at least 10!
launch meaning youll have it before others i believe.

Solidus is right. The Launch PS4 and Standard PS4, from what I've read, are exactly the same in terms of what comes in the box. Only difference is availability and delivery date.
I'd like to get it at release, but I don't think I can swing it. I have a lot on order and plus it's always safer to wait a little after release.
Surprisingly, this is the one year that I haven't been collecting much. I just hope that the Hot Toys Batman Arkham City figures don't get released at the same time as the PS4

So if iorder the PS4 Watch Dogs Bundle at Gamestop, does that mean I'm not getting my system until Watch Dogs releases?
Well, if you don't mind paying earlier for your system, you should get the launch version if they have it. Also, like I mentioned before, supply might also be a concern - since launch systems are generally in short supply, initially.

Nice one! Robocop and the ED209 look incredible. Too bad they're kind of out my budget right now - especially now that I have the PS4 on order

They're both the same price. I'm not really sure what other retailers aside from Amazon is actually splitting the PS4 release into two different editions.
They are pretty much the same thing, except those who managed to pre-order it quickly got this "edition", which isn't really special or anything. It's just that Amazon (and possibly other retailers) anticipate supplies to be limited at launch.
Ubisoft gave a release date of November 19th for Watch Dogs (in the US). The PS4/Xbox One release dates haven't been revealed yet. Maybe they come out later than Watch Dogs?
Dude you might want to go get your system. I think after 48 hrs they sell it to someone else so you might be **** outta luck.

I shall & I will bro, right after work the day it is released.
You should make a big deal out of having the wrong date on the website and tell them you demand your ps4 now. Seriously though this might be my first day one system. Have the launch titles actually been announced or are we just assuming which ones will be at launch?

I agree, I had a PS1 and PS2. Never really played the Original xbox that much. Once l played Xbox 1, then went back to the PS2 controller, it felt like uncomfortable in the hand.
I am done with MS (if they dont make big changes) and will miss their controllers. The PS4 controller will be no match to the 360-Xbox one controllers.
Xbox One went full Potato for sure.
