Please! Can XM just have it's own area somewhere on this forum???

I noticed..hard not to...that there's a ton of XM talk right now, but alot of its just the show this past weekend. Things will settle down soon. They're a new company showing a lot of product. Only natural to see all this activity on the boards right now.

For the guys that don't want to see the XM threads, what's really bothering you? I just can't understand not admiring how well the XM Magneto, Thanos, Wolverine, Pheonix, and Hawkeye look. Those are amazing looking representations of the characters. I'll call a spade a spade. If it doesn't look good I'll say as much. Is it the prices and you've ruled them out so you had rather not see the statues? Is it that you prefer mixed media verses fully sculpted? There's alot I'd love to get but it doesn't stop me from looking in the threads and enjoying other folks enthusiasm. Prime1, PCS, ECC, XM, Sideshow, GG....they all make amazing stuff at times.

Again I have no issues with XM itself... Their stuff is nice... But like I have said I would complain if it was any other company that was taking up all the post also... If there was an XM section I would still visit that section to see some of the new pieces... It would just be nice to have it organized up a bit. Thats all.

I am with Jaws on this. I have pretty much migrated over to SF as a result.

Also, the fact that the XM fanboys are all here arguing against XM segregation just proves the point that they need their own section or board period.

It has become tiresome and quite frankly, not any fun to participate on the board as a result.

You mean when it is chalk a block full of XM threads. Lets face it, this isn't a XM dumping ground now. They are producing some of the best Marvel statues out there right now so the excitement IS warranted. However, I don't see the issue with having a subforum dedicated to all other statue companies producing Marvel pieces.... XM included. It would tidy up this area quite a bit.


The answer for that one won't be pretty at all.

So what if SS started distributing XM product in the U.S.? Would the war wage on or would everyone invite XM into the marvel section as long as SS was getting a piece of the action hannibal?

I doubt that has very much to do with the issue at hand.

I Think that might have more to do with it. They're releasing a lot all at once, or at least it seems like all at once even though most of these might just be concepts or WIPs across two different scales and only one license. If their talent pool was spread across multple licenses instead of one you'd probably see less product all in one section.

I see the reasoning for NOT doing it, but the separation really did cut back on the SSC vs XM bashing that was going on over at SF.

As for the question about what would happen if all of a sudden SSC got distrobution rights for XM statues over in North America.... Well I can only see that happening if XM had NO other choice. Basically, do this or go out of business. I can't see them allowing another company to have any control over their decisions.

Nothing would change. There is no section of the board currently that was created explicitly to keep one company's products separate from that of another company's products.

Good point. I guess by my original logic then XM would merge back into the standard Marvel Statue forum. I'm just one for organization. This website has pretty limited organization. Perhaps a compromise would be to add filter features. I check a box for what threads I want to see. So I could check off just SS stuff. Or just SS and GG. Or SS, GG, XM, etc. That way everyone is happy and gets to customize their page for their viewing pleasure.

I just think it's strange and unorganized to have the majority of Page 1 of Marvel Statues be inundated with non-Sideshow product on a website called Sideshow Collectors. I keep referring to Marvel Statues because that's really the only page I visit so it's the only thing I have for reference.

I don't really care what company gets the action. I don't care if Sideshow gets "a piece of the action." I'm simply arguing for a more streamlined experience. But hey that requires time and money to fix. And people like me who don't pay to be on this site certainly don't help in that regard.
