I actually like the PERs system as an option in my figures. I hear quite a few people complaining that the PERS throws the likeness of in certain figures ( like Indiana Jones ). Funny it works fine in the Bruce Lee figure and most others. The PERS never bothered me, even on Indy, just the fact if you take the PERS out and sculpted the eyes in it would still not look like Ford. I think blaming PERS for a substandard likeness is not the answer.

whatever way you wrap it up, that HT Indy HS is a pile of s__t. NO repaint or reworking can make it look like Harrison Ford, at all.

I agree with Mr. Larocca.

PERS blows in most cases. In MOST cases. They need to only USE IT RIGHT.

On Jack Sparrow it's awesome! On the Batman figures it works when it does not create stupid knobs outside their heads.

But on Terminator, Indiana, Luke... Even Joker. I agree it's a mess.

Ever since the mid 90's if I could scalp the head of every weenie who replied in a toy related thread like this with this cliched and ignorant response I'd have a collection of scalps bigger than I had a collection of toys.

A letter asking them to fix the likeness problem is gonna change nothing if we keep buying these figures.the only way to change it is if every9one canceles there orders and 5that might make a difference.the best chance we have is for another company to step up and make better figures.right now hot toys is making the best,if you want a thor in your collection its hot toys or nothing.I personally thik 99% of the sculpts ht puts out are wrong.I would love to see someone like imaresqd1[adam gu] start his own company and raise the bar to a new level.

Simply because they don't respond to the incessant whining on the Internet directly, does not mean they don't care. They respond to what people want, not by what they say they want.

The fact of the matter is Hot Toys makes the best 1/6 scale figures in the market right now, and they are constantly topping what they did the year before.

Also to address the OP. . . likeness issues cannot be controlled by HT. All these new movies, the likeness is controlled by the actor or his agent. If Chris Hemsworth thinks he looks like Leonardo DiCaprio, that's how it has to be.

Overall, it's naive to think that Hot Toys isn't reading all the comments and taking it into account, but when 40 people on SSF constantly bash the likeness, but 4,000 people end up buying the figure. . .. money talks and BS walks.

It's just business.

E-mail them and you'll see.

I personally e-mailed them to clarify if they had the license for all MGS games or just MGS3, instead of replying yes or no or we can't say, they replied a week later with we'll forward it to our development team

They are the best at the particular licensed properties they are doing, not the best in the entire market, there is no best, simply each doing something different that thenother couldn't do as well.
