Hey Gang,

Yesterday my dad started throwing up blood and this morning around 3 or 4 he woke me up to tell me that he called the ambulance to pick him up. Because he thought he was having a heart attack. He told me "Drew, you're in charge of calling everyone that needs to be told about what's going on. You're the man of the house now that I'm gone."

Scary words. Not something I wanted to hear to be honest. He just got back from having bypass surgery and is recovering. I won't be able to see him until tomorrow when he's better and able to get visitors.

Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. I'm trying to not worry by taking my mind off of things. I really don't know what happens next or how he'll be from now on. I do know it'll be a week before he gets out of the hospital and 3 weeks at home before he can even go back to work. I'm taking my mind off of things by reading Batman:the long halloween and I'm going to make a trip by blockbuster to pick up a movie.

Heres to Mr.Van Ess :duff hoping he will have a speedy recovery

you and your family will definitely be in my prayers. I'm sure he's in good hands and I hope his recovery is a quick one.

He as well as you and the rest of your family will be in my thoughts and prayers man, I hope everything gets better.

hang in there bud & well wishes to your pop. heart surgery isnt what it used to be and medical advances have come leaps and bounds. i went thru the same kind of thing with my dad 2 years ago. quadruple bypass & an artificial heart valve all at once....:google. it gave him a new lease on life and he feels so much better now. he will be sore for a while but the down time isnt all that long & im sure he will be up and around before you know it. hope this helps a bit.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your dad, it is so hard when a parent is ill.

Very sorry to hear this,i hope your dad recovers soon and will be back a 100%.
