That happened with my dad and colon cancer. They misread his first upper and lower GI xray, then 6 months later they ruined the next one in developing, he was finally diagnosed and went to the University of Penn for surgery where they left a sponge in him that turned septic.

Oh my goodness! That's terrible! I hope you got a settlement for that!

My aunt just passed away from having a colonoscopy. They punctured her intestine in 3 places. She got very sick. She went into the hospital and they fixed one the first time, but she got sick again and had to go back in for a second surgery but by that time her kidneys started to fail and they couldn't get her well.

Dad's is supposed to be getting out of the hospital on monday. He had a triple bypass surgery done and has to go through all kinds of therapy. I'm going to visit him today for the first time in a few hours so I'm looking forward to that. I talked to him yesterday because he finally got a room and moved from intensive care,and said he was in pain but hangin' in there.

Thanks for the kind words. Dads home now and is in alot of pain but he's doing okay. The doctors broke his ribs to do the heart surgery so now he's gotta heal from that also. He still can't do much for a while and has a nurse coming to the house for his therapy.

Well then this is still good to hear at least. Not only can these times be tough but speaking for myself I hate everything about a hospital. Everytime i'm there, for whatever reason I get a negative feeling. At least he's home now where he belongs.

Glad to hear he's doing good! My uncle had a quadrupal bypass around 5 years ago and he said one of the worst part is the healing of the rib cage.

here's an update gang,it turns out that he's passing a kidney stone. He's not even healed from the heart attack fully and he's now passing a kidney stone. He came back from the hospital because there was nothing the docs could do but give him medicine. But he's in so much pain he just left to go back to the hospital.

Man this stuff don't let up. Thanks for the support gang.
