You misunderstood me. I did PO this baby day 1, and I think the EX is fine.
But my "hmmmm no" comment was meant for the fact that you should buy it "whether you're a fan or not" which is just dumb. If you're not a fan then don't buy it.

The EX is clearly better IMO. Maybe those pics will prove and remind some exactly what the difference is. Unfortunately it is too late for some unless you can't live without what's better. (eBay)

they don't look dead at all, just coming to life vs. the EX's already alive look

One of my issues with this EX is that it is basically just a better version of what you already get. Usually the EX is some additional change of head or light up feature or something, but here either you could get some dead small buds or small alive plants.

I just wished the EX plants were a little bigger. They look fine the way they're now but, bigger would look nicer IMO. I will be displaying my Ivy with the EX plants regardless.

I think bigger plants would distract attention from Ivy herself. She's the main attraction obviously and the EX plant size is a nice compliment.
