So here is what we have:

Batman: 9500 ES
Ivy: 4000 ES
Joker: 3750 ES

I really think Sideshow went too far with 7500 ES for regular batman, I still hope that was a typo :monkey1

It will take a while for Sideshow to sell Ivy and Joker regulars even with 2500 ES, Batman has 5000 more ES for the regular than Ivy and Joker that is insane :slap. Super high ES really makes me sick, 3000 (or maybe 3500 max) ES for regular Batman makes a lot more sense.

This will be the BIGGEST test of their new apparent business model. Allowing demand to drive supply. If these statues do not sell out within the next year or two. We will see the end of the large ESs and the return of the old model...:lecture

I'm pretty sure that will happen. Iv been collecting a while and nobody makes that much of a collectible and actually sells it. There just putting their reputation at risk. Give it a year

I don't understand why anyone would bid on an auction for a statue that is not to be released for months.... seems insane to me.

Haha yes I was an dummy for doing this Nuff said. Lesson learn now. I. Fell in the trap because I was desperate to get one and save 25.00 to 50.00. Yes I was dumb since I was a newbie who trusted everyone.

Yes SS 10,000 ES will soon become 15,000 for more popular statues in the future. I hope pcs gets some of their loyal fans and keep the buzz going with the collectors.

Numbers dont mean **** to me, as I will only have one the item in my collection. So they could make a zillion of them.

My only problem is, there should be no reason that a item that has 9000+ should be the same price if that item has 2000.

They can make as many as they want, but dont charge limited prices.

The F *ck.. The ES being that large does not justify the price. That's plain ridiculous. I preordered the regular Ivy and that's the best looking statue out of the set and should be the lower ES size at least. It would have been nice if the reg was $100 less than the ex. Geez, that pisses me off.

I agree that if u. Raise the es so high it would b nice to mark down the price. Supply and demand economics will catch up to them

How? It's not really SS's problem if they can sell more at the same cost. Only the secondary market has issues with higher volumes driving prices. It's not in SS's interest to make things with smaller quantities only to see them selling for double retail on ebay.

Unless they CAN'T sell them in the end or it takes years to do so. That will tell the tale.

They will sell them, and if they don't, they can lower the price later. Either way they'll come out winning. They have it figured out to cover their expenses and make a tidy profit even if they are selling them at $125 in 5 years.

There is no point to have that many statues collecting dust and giving them away for $125 later. It will still cut their profits and piss off their core fans who helped them support their business. That can be counterproductive. TBD ES is not a problem. When they know there really aren't any more orders coming in, close the ES. That is basically what they are doing now. If a character supports a large ES, then that's the way it is. However, not all of their pieces support a huge ES. This is mainly going on in the DC line.

There is no doubt SSC is changing its original business strategy. They are testing the waters. Let's see how it all shakes out.

If there is no point, then they wouldn't do it:huh

For production purposes, you always get volume discounts. If they can get a better margin by producing more statues, especially on globally recognized characters like Bats, then it's a good move. The only people complaining are "hardcore" collectors, and SS is making them for mainstream consumers. People seem to have this illusion that there is some loyalty oath from SS.:cuckoo:
