Looks like SS made a few Tweeks to Ivy's Face. The SDCC PI was more than likely the first finished prototype. The Face in the deutschland photo looks a little Flatter.Although it could be just the camera and the angle.Either way we Win.

here are a couple from SDCC

From that angle, it seems the eyes are just slightly off. It's tough to be certain without a head on look. Either way, it doesn't even come close to how bad that certain other Marvel female PF was lol.

Dunno if I ever brought it up but does anyone else not like the exposed stomach? Its my only issue with it. It just seems like overly forced fanservice and it makes the rest of her outfit not really make much sense.

The eyes on the original reveal look way more sensual than this newer version, and now her hair looks like one solid piece with the face instead of being separate.

I'm getting worried =(

If this new pic is really a factory production piece, then I'll be extremely happy. She looks amazing.

And some of you guys are right, there are some people that get their kicks out of complaining just to complain.

Yep, if the factory can come that close then it's a winner. I don't get how people expect 1,500+ production statues to replicate a hand crafted and painted prototype that likely spent a month to complete. But that's just me I guess.

I just had the best comment from my wife ever..."You aren't having her...she's far too slutty" :lol:lol:slap:slap

Tuff *******...she's definitely coming home :pfft::pfft:

Neil

If you ordered her directly from Sideshow maybe you can ask for a replacement. :monkey1:wink1:

I agree with that notion but not enough to sway me from not placing my order for the EX. I would have love if they just went straight with her classic costume.

Even her underarms look sexy. Is that weird?
What of this pirece is mix media? Has this been discussed?

The Rhino Comiquette is the last 1/4 piece to be labeled that & every other 1/4 scale piece will be known as a Premium Format.

With that being said, this piece is 1/4 thus the Premium Format label.

Seems like nobody here is noticing she has a slightly googly eyes there, people in SF are complaining about that :lol

Thank God I'm not the only one - as I read the initial reactions I wondered why all the praise. The prototype was looking straight ahead with a focused stare. She had character.

This one has a vacant, lifeless stare. And that is largely due to the eyes position. Yes, while not nearly as bad as other ill-fated statues, her eyes are definitely looking in slightly different directions. Her right eye (the one on our left) should be more centered. Her stare is spot-on from every angle on the SDCC pics. Not so here. Those of you who think some of us just like to complain (*sigh*), zoom in and step away from your display.

Or, you can just cycle through pics on a pic browser using the one I altered below.

This still isn't ideal, but at least she's looking in just one direction there.

If you still can't see anything wrong... well... I guess you don't have to worry. You wouldn't know googly eyes if you saw Cookie monster.

Also, surprised no one mentioned the crude eyeshadow application. Gone is the subtle application from the prototype. Not that different from the Rogue PF in that respect, and while the googly eyes is what's most remembered about that one, that make-up caused an outcry too back in the day.

Now, I know production pieces are never going to be as detailed as the prototype, but I'm still disappointed her whole expression changed. AND I'm worried about googly eyes. That's the one they have on display, so I shudder to think what some of us will get.

I absolutely agree.

OK. Didn't know if they were fabricating the plants out of something else. Thought maybe they would use real nylon stockings but that would seem like a disaster waiting to happen; massive returns because snagged hosiery. :slap

The latest photo still looks fantastic, but the one from SDCC is still better in my opinion. The eyes and eye makeup on Ivy is going to be the most complained thing once it releases. When everyone post their Ivy, owners are going to compare their Ivy's eyes with the other owner like their life depended on it! ugh please no more delays...

yeah it will be a pain to exchange since it's basically a statue replacement, and usually sideshow doesnt like to do that. I hope this turns out good (cant really tell the face based on those fuzzy photos), got 2 on preorder, will be a pain to return/exchange them.

that said i am not too worried, it's dc so made in the same factory as joker pf.

Women who feel personally threatened by inanimate pieces of resin, make me LOL.

With that said, all this angst over photos taken in different places, at different times and UNDER COMPLETELY DIFFERENT LIGHTING, I am not really taking very seriously. I wont take it seriously until we see actual owner's pix.

Fair enough. Sideshow's track record has been less than stellar lately with quite a number of pieces, so I don't hold my hopes up, but I may be wrong and all these could come out perfect indeed.

I just hope I can see lots of in-hand pics before I have to pay for mine.
