That Zoe looks great, especially the hair.

Thanks again, Astro. You know, it's funny, because Trevor's stuff is so good and always comes out looking so amazing, but there are so many fine details, especially around the hairline, that just make them a flat out pain to paint. But I guess that's what makes them so good. Amazing sculpts. All of these were good. Really good.

Nice work on Bruce, Charles. Really brought out character in the sculpt.

Thanks, Annihilate. I really like painting these rough characters. Lots you can do with them in terms of blending and dry brushing.

isnt that bbkills craig?

Re: Mr. Charlie's Pop Culture Reproductions - new Zoe, Willis, Craig Bond paint ups

Yea, I saw Trevor's other "Firefly" work and it's just astounding. I gues it's the little details like you mention that really makes sculpts POP, but since I'm no painter I can only imagine how difficult that kind of stuff can be to paint. Great sculpt and great paint is what really makes a fantastic portrait, sometimes that can easily be forgotten. Like others have said, you can have a great sculpt but bad paint ruins it or a great paintjob can save a mediocre sculpt.

Ah, geesh, you're right. Edited. Apologies, bbkills. Thanks, Bowen.

Re: Mr. Charlie's Pop Culture Reproductions - Rambo FB pt. 2

Had this head from Moe sitting around for a long time now, but once I scored the arrow set last week I had to finish this guy. Went with an ACI body. You lose some pose-ability, but the bulk really completes the look. Scars I put on custom. Pendent is made out of sculptey. No little Buddha carved into, but I think it still came out good. Head had a bandanna sculpted on the forehead that I cut out and replaced with cloth. Magnetized the feet. There's a cut piece of metal underneath the grass sheet. Scored a pt. 1 sculpt a long ways back, too, so maybe that'll be next. Thanks to Moe for the sculpt. Really came out nice.

Thanks, guys. Been good, Ecko. Texted you the other day. You still at the same number? Had lots going on lately but starting to finally get around to some projects I've had on my table for a long time now. Got some long overdue comic-related stuff coming soon....

Here's another Hoot I painted up recently. Came out really nice:
