Agreed on sandy base.

With marble, cant wait to see the pics of a custom warpaint version.

If this represents the final product then I'm good with it. How do PCS normally go in production?

From what I have seen their products look pretty close to their prototypes, which is to say that the paint job quality is good.

Their Street Fighter statues have very nice smooth paint jobs with noticeable shading.

Take a look at their Akuma, very nice shading within the muscles, and same paint quality as this Conan proto.

Check out this page for more pics of that statue.

Sideshow make amazing 1 off convention prototypes and then release something that looks nothing like it.

I think I have seen a few PCS ones that were painted sloppy like the ones seen on Sideshow pieces, but for the most part the paint job on most of their final products look amazing! Thus, if you are happy with the paint job on the Conan proto, you will be happy with the paint job on the final product because I am pretty sure it will look just as good. ;)

I received my first PCS piece a couple of weeks ago and it was perfect. Beautiful paint job, lovely details and weathering. It was just like the proto. I have no doubt PCS will nail the production piece on this.

My first PCS piece had issues, but every one since has been clean. I'm probably going to order this one but am worried about the cost.

Congrats man, may I ask what piece did you buy?

Hey Steve! Long time no speak bro :) I received the battle damaged Ryu 1:4 statue, which can be seen here:

The video is not mine, I just found one randomly on YouTube to show you lol.

I'm very happy with it. Their CS is also great and love the low edition sizes for their pieces, and the COA is a nice touch. I like how they listen to the fans and make changes baaed on feedback (which is what they did here). Can't wait to get my next piece from them!

Well I'm convinced ... now it just comes down to price and shipping to Oz!

Their biggest issue is the amount of time they take.
If you dont mind the wait, they are not too bad.

Lol, be prepared for a hefty shipping cost bro! These ship from the US via FedEx and PCS don't have discounted rates like Sideshow do. My 1/4 scale Ryu cost a fair bit to ship here...can't remember exact price but it was over 100 USD. This is bigger, so it'll cost even more.

Why you gotta burst my bubble? :)

Hahaha sorry man! Just wanna make sure you're prepared :) better you know now so you don't get such a shock later lol.

Don't worry, it'll be worth it! Looks like it's going to be an epic statue and PCS pieces always hold their value due to the low edition sizes.

I really wish someone would go all out like this on a Terminator version of Arnold, as that is my favourite character of his. Not a big fan of Conan, but getting this regardless as its Arnie.

Hi Nuri,

Yeah it has been a while, have not been interested in many pieces until now.

OMG that looks better than I thought it would! It blows Akuma away! :horror

How much did that set you back?

Yeah I like that to, Prime 1 seems to do the same thing.

I don't mean to sound like a broken record because I agree with most here that this is still a beautiful piece and the paint job is beautiful to, but it doesn't look as realistic as the paint job on Chronic Collectables Arnie BD one. Like I said before it still looks like the same style seen on the Street Fighter Characters, that being said, I am still tempted to get it. :)

So Popculture in Melbourne isn't getting this in?
