Triple in value and it's struggling to sell 350 at retail?...

OK! :pigfly:

Only been on sale for 3 days, name the last SS statue to sell 350 statues as fast as this will sell out? And PCS doesn't do fake sell outs. It will be worth a whole lot more as soon as its sold out, as is the trend with PCS statues.

Really don't know, or care, guys.
I buy a statue because I love it and want it in my collection, not to speculate what it will be worth in a years time.

so that's good for you then. I buy because I want in my collection AND like to speculate its value in 5 yrs time at over 5k to make myself feel good. what's your problem?

I used to like to speculate on my collectibles be it toys or timepieces but the truth is even if a $500 piece went up 5x in value it would mean nothing to me unless I had 20 of them to really make a meaningful profit. These are not exactly real art where if you make the right bet there's chance for early retirement :) chances are also something even better would be out in 5 years..but whatever floats your boat.

Amen to this bro. I don't give a damn about edition size too.
I like it, I buy it.

For what is worth, on the topic of it still not having sold out, we were commenting how the upper lip still wasn't that accurate over on the other forum and Jerry said this:

Just saying, in case that might help some fellow members make up their minds. This statue is gorgeous as it is. If there's some further tweaking to the lips, some may regret not pulling the trigger.

I missed this...that sounds like a good change.

BTW why does Jerry and others like GG go to statue forum and not this one here? Is that better and bigger forum? isn't it the same people here and there?

sorry for the newb questions

That's a great question, I've always wondered that myself.

You should! We are, at least supposed to be, buying COLLECTIBLES..lets be honest, $350+ for one piece is a lot of money…I like certain characters as much as the next, but can you really justify buying yourself (at least using myself as an example) 5-8 statues a year, spending over $5k a year on just toys or representations of your fav movie/comic book characters? I would for like say batman but I never would for just a robocop or the conan diorama from ARH for example..The fact that they are limited however, and they will/do/can hold their value if not increase bcz of it, is help. I like the fact that not everyone is gonna be able to just go out and get it if they want it…think about it if they only made 1,000 copies of a certain blu ray movie…sure I'd get robocop on blu ray anyway, but damn now theres only a thousand of them?? and I own one? its like that..and honestly a low ES like robocop is great because lets be honest, we, as collectors or hobbyists, what have you, want our items to be worth something, not just sentimentally but in dollars and cents as well…after all we are spending thousands of dollars…this is personally why I made my own rule that I will NEVER buy an open edition of a product, because at that point anyone can get it and my ability to justify buying a $500 piece goes down a little when I know it instantly loses value…it doesn't mean I lack passion or love for characters/the hobby, but I just want more bang for my buck honestly at that dollar amount.

well for one this is "sideshow" freaks..its primarily only focusing on SS products (I know, it has other products) but for example, not a lot of ppl here comment on other companies threads like PCS, HCG, etc to the extent that it occurs on statue forum.. (these r just MY observations fyi)…on SF theres tons of PCS talk, and whenever I want PCS conversation or updates, I'm definitely checking there first..they update the weekly PCS newsletter thread, etc..its like how SS is here PCS is on SF. Personally I like this forum slightly better, because of the depth and ease of use (though they are extremely similar, i guess I've just been on here longer) and I think some of the mods there are total tools…I've seen them close threads temporarily for the DUMBEST reasons, they don't like it if you give your opinion on the piece too negatively…(saying "'this piece sucks, wtf were they doing', is an "insult" the sculptor and/or painter, and if we want them to come on the boards and interact with us") which to me is horses hit bcz its a public forum where u should be able to (relatively) say whatever u want, especially as a paying customer, etc..but thats just me and I will say that I think its REALLY cool that Jerry and other PCS employees go on there and give us updates, interact, and all that as the smaller companies seem to want to interact and get feedback a lot more…even Igo from SS is on there more than here and this is the SideshowFreaks board lol..if something is wrong and enough ppl complain/bring it up, jerry will comment on it AND fix it (i.e. Robocops Lips), which is FANTASTIC..thats sorta like Averone for ARH does here (though we'll c how that goes with the conan piece) so for me its cool to interact on both forums, though a majority of my commenting is done here.

Does anyone has experience of receiving broken statue from PCS?
We know it always happen to SS, but I am concern about PCS.

Please advice. tq

I'd be down for a 1/4 ed-209! Something I have been wanting for many years thought fred Barton was going to do one but after what happened with the bust doubt we will see it from him.
