Predalien Concept Maquette From AVP-R

I actually really like this concept. It looks way better than the one in the movie. This one has a more serpentine look, better mandibles IMO and gotta love the Pred forehead patterns.

Very cool but not as cool as what was used in the movie. If its reasonably priced I'll pick it up but if its priced like the 1st one easy pass. I'm not going to dish out another $900 for a CONCEPT. A Wolf Predator or the Alien warrior from the movie would have been a MUCH better choice for a maquette.

agreed. It seems like we are all on the same page on this one. I am still excited about this one though, unless it is another $1000 piece

Concept looks pretty cool. The mandibles don't look so tacked on.

But there was another concept that was even better. I know someone posted scans from an AvP:R art book or something.

I don't get it. It is a nice piece but doesn't make any sense, especially when the first predalien really hasn't sold. I love my alien 3 from ADI (though it has some really terrible QC issues) and would love another alien. Like all of you i think the CM alien is about as good as the original is gonna get. As such, a warrior would be ideal. If/when SS gives us a warrior it would make sense to have it made by SWS. With that said ADI did do resurrection and though it's not nearly as good a film as the ones that came before it is vastly better than either AVP and the aliens in it are extremely interesting.

Outside of the predalien and the dog alien ADI has THREE, yes THREE, different aliens that they could produce. Why do we get this concept piece when any of those would make a superior maquette.

Well, it looks cool but why would anyone who already owns the Predalien maquette buy this? its pretty much the same pose, they are milking the ^^^^ out of people right now lol
