This may very well be true but they work for/with sideshow and could have possibly seen a test copy. either way the presence of the statue is supposed to be impressive. Hopefully the final paint apps will be good

It will have been the prototype or the paint master, SS themselves said that the delay is due to the fact they weren't happy with what they are seeing on the production pieces. I'm glad SSC delayed this, hopefully that will kick the factories into gear, this one needs to be a flagship piece quality wise for the price on a 1/4.

Happy to pick him up from Lee at a pretty big discount from the rather useless Ex.
Even if it converts I'm still unsure if the Ex is worth the extra cash.

They're trying to shift the Reg, as I said it's far too early to predict none left.
Once they start charging the $1,200 there will be cancellations.

Not to mention the (very likely but I always hope I'm wrong on this) bad in-hand quality.

Currently having to return my "Nightmare edition" Diablo III and claim back import taxes. Sideshow couldn't screw up the paint because it's so simple so they delivered a piece with a spine broken off, 2 pieces that won't fit propery, and flashing LED's (fine on pedestrian crossings - not so much on a demon statue).

What a company - great ideas, great sculpts, consistently horrendous QC

I thought so too - but then found a link (I think on THIS forum - but not sure) that led me to this - CBSA Informal Adjustment Request

Seems to be a piece of cake (but we'll see )

I should probably start a thread here and ask for the mods to make it a sticky that we can add to for every Country..

Have they cancelled your waitlist? All I can think is that they have too many people ahead of you waiting. Like you said though, there are bound to be some cancellations early next year. Seems weird they would do it now before it even ships.

Oh well, you've always said you'll be happy with the reg on this one, now you get to see it in hand and get a few honest opinions from us lot before paying up.

Yeh, they're deffo trying to shift the Regs. I've seen Ex WLs convert months after the item started shipping.
Someone two weeks before me converted recently on this

Made me decide to get the Reg anyway. The only advantage of the Ex, on this, is the 300 ES but doesn't really bother me how rare it is.
If it turns out nice enough it will stay in my collection.

I suppose SS makes gets a bigger part of the pie if they can get collectors to buy Regs direct. Just hoping retailers don't get stiffed too often (Kenobi Mythos). Not everyone can or wants to buy direct.

Obi had huge demand, I doubt that will happen here. It's clearly a piece many people would like to purchase... but you could almost have the entire mythos line for the same price as this lol. And they are all excellent statues!
