Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

My issue is that I have to ship it to Florida to a freight forwarder, who then has to ship it down to my island and then I have to pay tax on that......so if there is an issue it ends up sucking for me. Big time.

I'm optimistic, yet slightly worried. BUT all things given, if it turns out close to any of the pics I've seen of the proto I think this piece could be absolutely killer.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

I hope this maquette turns out well, I've not ordered one yet.. I first want to see the real deal.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

yea I was ready to trigger a payment on this in march, but its been set back, weird. Do not want to be stuck to a payment later down the line, when they are not sure when they can ship it out

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

guys apparently ss alex confirms oct/nov for this piece, it has been delayed

"We're still not satisfied with it yet, so we're taking more time with it." over on SF

I never understood the point of revealing a new collectible and putting it up for pre-order a year before it comes out, and this one will have taken what, two years now?

"Oh yay, I can't wait to order this new statue and not receive it for a year or longer!"

Pre-orders shouldn't take longer than a few months IMO.

I say a year…i feel its reasonable..i get smaller companies need the money to put into production, etc. But at the same time some planning and scheduling should take place so that things are done right…and btw….we've SS' QC suck lately (at times)…how awful is this damn piece that they've had to delay it on 2 separate occasions, for over a year, bcz it doesn't meet their "standards?"

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

Watch the Elder bust fiasco repeating itself and we are getting our deposits/payments back..

Wouldn't surprise me.

If the factory still can't get it right, second time we've been told what they've seen is not adequate, it's quite worrying.
Fair play to say they're not happy to ship the item if that's the case but how many chances will they give the factory involved.

I know I'd rather wait longer and get a decent product for my $1,200+ but it is worrying and a cancelled product is better than expensive poop.

So glad I cancelled when I did and not committed to this product.

Re: Predator 2 City Hunter 1:4 Maquette

Couple of months, I think.

Maybe they are doing protos then realising the potential Q.C nightmare...
Seems to be hitting everything but PFs.

.

The lions, The tigers, The waiting . . . . . oh my!

This is fine by me - exchange rates have dropped through the floor over the last 2 months and as the rest of you pointed out - I'd MUCH rather they get the quality as high as they can.

They monitor the forums so they are already aware how many of these will be sent back if the QC is screwed en-mass.
