at this stage, I think the chance of a waitlist conversion is slim to none unless it is a return.

everyone who initially pre-ordered would have already cancelled a few weeks ago if they didn't want it. everyone else has received it unless it is a flex-pay. the new orders got a huge discount and are unlikely to cancel.

I personally think 400 have not been sold at all! Wait list will show sideshow that people still want it and they will have some.

Typical from sideshow, try to go on the live chat and still no one is available, is that place dead? convenient when you want to get hold of them for this discount, no one is available
 
Thanks Collectorcol. I did a search under Predator, but four things show up and no maquette. Hard motherf-er to find.

Is live chat even working? I can't even get on as the option isn't there, wanting to pay off my Boba fett PF...

They posted on another forum that they are still working through a backlog of stuff from the holidays. It really put them behind and they have had people out sick also. This is affecting their live chat also - no one manning it. They said things should be back to normal sometime this week I think.

Hi All!

First and foremost I'm sorry that y'all are having difficulty getting through by phone, etc.. Currently the phones have been tied up consistently since Sideshow re-opened after the holidays. Just lots and lots of people calling in that causes many other folks unable to get through when they call. Please keep trying back when you have the time and you could call at the right time to get through.

As for live chat, it is currently disabled to allow the CS team to catch up on the flood of email that occurred over the holiday break and then continues to flood in after the holidays. They are currently caught up to emails that were sent by January 8th and are plowing through everything that has been received since the 8th. If you sent an email after the 8th then you will not hear back until early next week at the earliest at the current rate of response.

Unfortunately the holidays and some staff becoming ill after the holidays has caused back up in the email department (which is now impacting phones as well since people that emailed will call too if they don't hear back within a day or two). CS is catching up though and will hopefully be back to the 24/48 business hour turnaround for emails soon and live chat will be enabled again. We are also currently adding more CS reps over the next several months to better serve our customers on phones, live chat and email.

Again, I'm so sorry that some of you are having difficulties getting through.
 
Issue like what? The only issue is you couldn't get the code to work and now you're mad.

And you call people hypocritical?

Maybe your views would be different if you managed to get one...
 
Doesn't matter what other pieces cost and when they were released.

This is a $1,200 Statue that looks like ****!

Ok, no one expected proto quality but come on! I could of done a better job painting the head.
Was never going to match the proto but something close would of been nice.

The most worrying thing is it looks like their 'Production Piece' pictures are now being manipulated to get people ordering.


To be fair, you are hypocritical in that you said this is a $1200 statue that looks like crap. Well, why then would you order something you think looks like crap? :dunno I guess it's doesn't look like crap anymore if it's only $999. :lecture Way to change your tune so suddenly. :cuckoo: I wasn't here for the entire thread but I'd imagine based on your comment about this piece looking like crap, you were one of those bashing it for inaccuracies and such but then again you order anyway because of a discount. Yet you're the one going around calling people green-eyed monsters. :lol Bit ironic, don't you think? Also, I think you're hypocritical because in order to find that discount I think you'd have to have been playing around with it in your cart. Well again, why would something you think looks like crap be in your cart in the first place? You're here on the forums openly criticizing it, yet you're on SSs website with it in your cart? Lmao :rotfl By the way I was talking about Sideshow's staffing issues, not the discount in my last post, but whatever. :rolleyes2 And I'm not mad. :)

MasterSafara - it seems either your bitterness is affecting your assessment or you are just deliberately stirring the pot.

1) Sideshow upped their QC and kind people shared various photos/videos to prove it. This removed one of the major concerns.
2) The 20% discount was unbelievable and gave people plenty of opportunity to get one in hand, assess, and resell locally (at a profit!) if they don't want to hang onto it.
3) If those same people decide to keep them, then the savings can also be used to fix some/all of the major issues.​

It's that simple.

Then I watched the HD video which looked really good, despite some sloppy paint here and there.

When I found the discount code I was happy to give it a try.

Since then this picture gave me more confidence...

Don't know if the first example looks bad because it was so close up or it was just painted worse than the others but it looked really bad and worrying.
Should know by now first in hand pictures ALWAYS look bad.

Just my reasons for taking the plunge, not that I have to justify my purchases to anyone :D
