Well the artist that is giving my P2 a change over on the bio helmet making it more screen accurate with the red lens, better paint app on the unmask head and over his body with the added quills on the head, new spear, so hopefully when I get the new spear when the statue comes to me it wont be a worry

Looking forward to this ;)

Spike, did you receive a reply then?

What do you mean by red lens out of interest? The mesh on his mask should be silver if that's what you mean?

Do you have a picture of the red lens. I thought it was only black mesh.

The mesh is silver, he means the lasers. I'm not sure painting it will replicate an illuminated look, but it is so tiny that it probably won't matter either way. I look forward to seeing the finished product, any improvements to the head on this can only be a good thing.

I am not sure what it actually looks like, has movie pics do not show any close ups, well I requested he add a real tri lazer like collector pointed out, just forgot what it was actually called. I remember they added that with the P1 piece, hoping he can add it with the new Bio helmet he will be making to replace the current one

these pics could be a help

The P1 has actual LED's in it, is that what you're going for? They don't work in mine, but what's new..

That is the word, forgot what it was called. I always thought the price I am paying it deserves it, I may is well go all out since the statue is going to him, if he can do it may is well go all out.

He said he is unsure, he said he wanted a look at the statue before he can do anything, so will see what he can do. I am looking forward to what he can do to improve the flaws in the piece

Nothing - not even a confirmation of receipt of email.

You?

.

No, did I send mine before or after you? (I sent mine last Thursday) I'm not even certain he still works there tbh, I hope so as he's a good guy. I may live chat and ask if I haven't heard anything by tomorrow. I'll be sure to let you know.

Not that I'd try and discourage you, but I personally wouldn't bother with the LED, it's going to be a lot of effort and planning to fit something that won't be used much and will ultimately fail down the line as all LED's inevitably do. That said, if you do wish to add a light up feature, it might be an easier option to just add one bright LED behind the shroud, and simply drill three small holes where the lasers are, this could always be filled in with a clear glue to stop dust getting in. The real problem is going to be figuring out where to put the battery and switch. The P1 maquette had a carved out face with a removable bio on top attached via a magnet, the battery fitted into the bio and the switch was hidden where an air hose attaches to his left cheek, although this sticks out a bit and is fairly unsightly imo, one of my few complaints about that statue actually which is why I didn't complain too much about the lack of a light up feature on this P2 maquette.

Still, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you do with it, the foundations for an awesome statue are clear to see, a bit of TLC will no doubt transform it into a thing of beauty...

Yea it is a 1,200 dollar statue, why not just go all out and send it to an artist to really make this thing a masterpiece in itself, make it feel like this statue is worth the price we pay. Like I said he is giving the unmasked head the attention to detail to bring the skin to life like the rest of the body, so the thing does feel like its come to life with the added quills, a new spear like we see in the film on top of the skyscraper, the bio head reshaped like the film so the helmet is not so damn narrow. If he achieves it all, WOW what a piece this could be. Christ if he does achieve all of this I would not know what look to go for, haha

The light up feature is not really set in stone, if he cannot do it I said its no problem I said to him, cannot wait to get all you guys reaction if he manages to sort out these flaws. I heard one guy say in the video that it will lose value changing the problems, but for me I wont ever be selling this thing or want to because of the shear size of it, I know it could be shipped damaged, but thanks for the heads up dude.

I would just drill 3 holes and add the one led to light them up.

Is he doing anything about the dreds?

I don't mind the dreds to be honest, never asked him about them, if he did that I may is well ask him to make an entire new head which could cost a fortune.

A wider bio might hide them on the masked head, but the unmasked one would be a problem. I have been thinking about ways it could be done, but I think I would need it in hand to see if it could be modified for sure.
