Just curious...what are artists typically charging for customizing/repainting the different predator heads for this piece? Is shipping the items back and forth included in a price quote or is that a separate charge?

A wider bio might hide them on the masked head, but the unmasked one would be a problem. I have been thinking about ways it could be done, but I think I would need it in hand to see if it could be modified for sure.

The unmasked head is just getting a new paint job and quills, like I say it will be going to the hands of the expert. The design of the unmasked head is pretty damn good, its the bio head that needs a change. From the side the bio head looks fantastic, from the front not so much

The bio helmet does need to be much wider the hero mask looked like a hubcap lol. The dreds are really not an issue for me in person and the original p1 head has dreds that are similar to these. There is also no easy fix for them since they would pretty much all need to be remade to come out the correct way.

It really hasn't, they leave his head at the proper angle (allowing for the tilt) The only reason the left side appears to look similar is that they are bunched up against his armor. I personally dislike the dreads as much in person as I did in pictures before I received it, although it doesn't help that they aren't applied correctly on mine so appear to bend in mid air.

I'm not sure widening the bio will disguise them much at all, it is the dreads at the front of his head that look the worst, and it's the rear of the bio that needs widening a bit. The dreads need completely re-sculpting as cutting off and reapplying with shortened roots would mess up how they interact with the rest of his body so it wouldn't work. There is no easy fix unfortunately.

You are probably right about fixing the bio helmet, but the dreads for me never bothered me, its just the shape of the bio helmet that annoys the hell out of me. We will see how it can be solved without needing to make a completely new head. If we look at the bio head from the side it looks fantastic

Grrr after lots of thinking I decided to get this, I figured there are not many predator statues 1/4 or larger will be released anytime soon. Hulk, Iron Man, Spiderman, Cap, Batman there will be plenty from many different companies but not full size predator statues. I am eagerly waiting to see mine in hand and put him next to the other 3 predators. I guess I'll be getting the new P1 maquette too and make it five, but the wait will be like forever on that one.

One of the other things bugging me (that didn't originally) is the hip pouch on his LHS - would have been much nicer if it was sculpted as a seperate piece.

ALSO just noticed that the pouch on his RHS is completely missing?

I meant how all of the main dreads stuck out to the side. But yeah, those two at the front that stick forward are really annoying, not really sure what happened there. If I keep mine, I'll try and work them lose to adjust them.

I missed the discount and the EX was already sold out when I decided to get it, so I put myself on the waitlist. Found a collector on Facebook who wants to sell it at cost, not sure if he's a member here but he's a member in SF (I cancelled my waitlist), since I am in CA and have to pay tax and he is not, the price that I got from him would be almost exactly the same as the price if I would have bought it from Sideshow.

I want to display nothing but predators in my bottom shelve so I NEED this as we don't have any other predator statues in the market right now.

BTW I am still puzzled about the regular version why all of sudden Sideshow waitlisted it. We all know the regulars did not sell out that fast after the EX was sold out, I wonder if Sideshow pulled it out from sale due to many issues that people have, just like the wolf predator even though it was an open ES and Sideshow could produce as many as they wanted they stopped the production due to issues. If that's the case this piece will be rare like wolf and the price will increase.

The reason for the "waitlist" will become apparent over the next few weeks/months.

I suspect that Sideshow's marketting dept. realised there is no way they will sell the 1000 REG's SO have ordered from China in batches SO will never make 1000 REG's available.

Got him yesterday, this mofo is so beautiful. I am glad I pulled a trigger on this. For me this piece went from mehh... to Amazing once you see it up close in person and display it. He may not be as good as the other 3 but he definitely deserves to be mentioned in the same breath with them IMO.

Now Sideshow needs to hurry up and release the new P1 Maquette so I can kick Hulk out to a different spot.
