The only thing that could convince me to sell off the ss version would be a closed mouth. I think that look is just so much meaner looking. If they do another open mouth version, not likely I will sell off what I already have.

Far more personality as well.

I have to say the quality of coolprops masks is awesome, the details are incredibly sharp.
Compared with the sideshow celtic mask I have, theirs looks just far superior than sideshow's one. It feels like they may re-sculpt some tiny parts to make them look much more sharper than probably even the actual mask. The details on sideshow's one just are sadly blur and soft...

Thank you for the honest feedback. Since you have the SS version and have seen the Coolprops version, you're in a great position to make such a statement. I just hope Coolprops are able to get the production version as close as possible to the one you saw on display.

well, I don't see how they could improve upon this in any way, so no skin off my back





they had all the CP Bios so far I believe, so I don't see why they wouldn't get this. The only thing I hate about bbts now is they require like $300 deposits on everything. I may use my points with SS on this guy.

I agree, Sideshow didn't do a very good job on that one at all, mine has been sat in a dark corner hidden away for years now. I keep meaning to fix it, but I might just sell it on and get this version. The lack of any kind of lenses at all was pretty ridiculous. And the paint on mine was rubbish.

I agree, Sideshow didn't do a very good job on that one at all, mine has been sat in a dark corner hidden away for years now. I keep meaning to fix it, but I might just sell it on and get this version. The lack of any kind of lenses at all was pretty ridiculous. And the paint on mine was rubbish.

Ahh, right! I had forgotten about that. I remember seeing the painted lens and it was a huge turn off. It was an easy pass.

The Coolprops proto looks to not only have real lens but the two gas tubes along the left side. Also, much more defined edges and angles, but that might not translate into the production version. It'll depend on how they go about casting.

The Sideshow Celtic bio is probably the worst Sideshow piece I own. It's that bad. There are parts of it that aren't even painted on mine. It was my first 'high-end' piece and I was very young when I purchased it, so I was very ignorant and just excited to be having my first bio-mask. If it came out today with the same quality, I would instantly pass.
