I don't think anyone is trying to be "Ebay Police" Just pointing something out. I personally don't care either way as I always read the description.

You have changed your titles, so you must of agreed it is best to mention this in the title, or you just want to avoid more _____ing at you.

:goodpost::exactly:

I'm saying things as they are.

@ RUMADMAN:

nothing I said was false, anyway. But it's good to know you changed the titles of your listings.

@ dcflake:

yup, sadly many sellers are doing it. doesn't make it right, though :(

this stuff always reminds me of this one

i actually wasn't referring to you since you changed the auction title. but getting defensive isn't helping your case.:rotfl

RUMADMAN, Well done mate..:clap Imo you have done nothing
wrong and your aution explains it all perfectly.
The winning bider only has him self to blame if he did not read
the product description and as far as I am concerned he owes
you $200 for his stupidity.

This makes me wish i hadn't thrown out my BD P2 Box 2 years ago :monkey2. He isn't doing anything wrong. He put the title up of what he is selling, showed pictures of what he is selling, and wrote in big red letters in the description the item that he is selling. If for some reason the bidder assumes it is somthing else, it's his own fault, for being an Idiot. Congratulations on your 200$ :clap

let me guess your one of the winning bidders right??? are you from Australia?
did i miss lead you ?
are you that dumb??
can you not read English?

I'm going to go ahead and forward your post here to the Administrator. You know what you did. I agree that people should read the item descriptions, but taking advantage of them is wrong and shameless and defending your stance, you really don't add anything but a blemish to this community.

I don't think you did anything wrong man. People need to start taking responsibility for themselves. Everyone knows, to avoid ANY kind of confusion, you ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS read the description, check the item location, and payment method. ALWAYS. The buyers, if not intending to buy the box, are idiots. They're the kind of people that allow the makers of Transmorphers and Alien Vs Hunter to make any money.

Gotta be careful though, everybody thinks it's normal to file a lawsuit over getting hot coffee.

I don't think RUMA did anything wrong (he changed the title afterward), but I also don't think he will get $200 for an empty box. Lesson learned...always put Empty Box in the title and description, and if you still get $200 for it, shake your head and the stupidity and not get your hopes up.

I see that it says box only in the description but this seller is clearly misleading people buy not saying that in the auction title. The title makes it seem like its the actual figure. The seller knows what hes doing. He set the auction up like this on purpose because there are always people who get excited and bid without reading all the details. Its true that the buyer should be more careful but the seller is also a crook in my opinion.

Sorry dude but i couldnt disagree with this more. I guess the seller probably put the description like that so people would click on the listing, which is fair enough, but if someone's stupid enough to bid on something like that without even reading the description then its their own fault. I saw this listing, as well as his others, and clicked on them, read the descriptions, then left it. If someone's dumb enough to buy something without even reading what they're buying its their own fault.

Dont mean any offence, just had to throw in my opinion. :peace

That's against the listing terms and conditions. ;)

Is it really? I never actually knew that. Learn something new everyday. :wave But either way, i dont think he can be to blame. If someone is stupid enough to buy something without even reading the description then it really is their own fault and i have no sympathy for them. Its not even like he cleverly ripped them off. If they'd have just read the description they'd have known what they were buying. Stupid people do entertain me. haha.

Just thought I'd quote myself here, since most people seemed to miss it. The boldened text highlights a similar situation that is INCREDIBLY common with most loose figure listings. Based on what you guys've said, what RUMADMAN did is no worse than this:

There are plenty of times on eBay where a title will describe only the name of the figure, but the description may talk about something wrong with it. Perfect example: second-hand figure listings. They don't always write "damaged" or "broken" in the name; you have to read to know exactly what you're getting and what the deal is with it. And that happens most of the time; you never see an auction called:

"Loose HT (insert figure name here) with broken joint and glued armor L@@K!"

Instead, you see:

"Loose HT (insert figure name here) L@@K!"

Any possible breakages will be discussed only in the description.

And literally, most used auctions where there's a breakage or repair don't have that info in the title. They simply give the name of the figure, without going into detail -- that's what the description is for. Now, I'm not saying those auctions are by the book either, yet we don't even think about the rules when we come across them.
