love the predator (yautja) mythology which is why i didn't care how much everyone hated the 2nd film ... i still loved it

i like the second idea much more than the first one. i just don't see an entire Predator movie being able to take place on a ship. maybe a short opening sequence or ending, but a ship simply doesn't seem like a large enough landscape to contain the ultimate hunter.

with the avp franchise coming out with a new movie in the fall, a plain pred movie would be going backwards in the film evolution. i don't think even 10,000 votes would make a difference.

Alien - nuclear explosion
Aliens - nuclear explosion
Alien 3 - meh
Alien Resurrection - ship crashes, probably a nuclear explosion

Predator - nuclear explosion
Predator 2 - ship taking off - lots of fire and dust - may be some sort of nuclear thing going on with the engines.

AVP - nuclear explosion
AvP2 - nuclear explosion.

Plus it would be nice if the Predator(s) didn't get killed at the end! I really want to see a Pred kick ass and not get impaled by trees/alien tails.

Anyway , I still would love to see a predator 3 movie in the desert hunting troops , somewhere like Afghanistan in the war. Its really the only place predator hasn't been.
I think it would be great !

I can imagine some soldiers looking out across the desert and seeing a huge flickering mirage, as as it gets closer they think they can see humanoid shapes, then the Predators switch off their stealth camo, and there's a line of twenty Preds decked out in armour and looking for a fight!

Yeah , the look of the predator to stay camouflaged in the desert would be an amazing character design , it would have to have sand colored armor , maybe even aztec and Egyptian influences in the way it looks !.
Then image the figures !
