I want to see this SOOOOO MUCH!!

I am down with the whole spoken soundtrack being in Comanche. The first time I saw Apocalypto it was the Mayan? Language version and it was still not hard to follow.

Screams of horror being one of those universal languages and all. ;)
Sounds like they've spent time and effort making sure they get the Comanche dub right. 👏

SFX was how I first learned there were sequels to the Matrix coming.

'A car chase where Agents are jumping into different drivers?!?'

Funny how that sounds way cooler than what Reloaded actually did.

They definitely changed the head-body proportions. P.'s not gonna like that. :lol
Looks pretty good in that pic. The weapons slung on his back look interesting. The super thin dreadlocks and smaller head may prove controversial. I don't hate them myself though but it does raise an eyebrow. The face reveal will make or break this new Predator design for me. I do quite like what we've seen so far.
Hope we get a Hot Toy fig of this guy.

From the director:

“The design for me, though incredible, functionally it’s always been very top-heavy,” he says. “The head has always been so large to accommodate a person inside, especially when it was developed in the ’80s. This is now the most refined, most proportional head to body ratio that’s ever been. We actually were able to get the silhouette to be a little bit more anatomically correct. Frankly, it’s the smallest, slimmest, I think, of the Predators, though still a hulking alien creature.”

I agree that the previous Predators had big heads, but they never seemed "top-heavy" per se. The designs were still balanced and executed well. Who cares about anatomical correctness on an extraterrestrial anyway?

Exactly. I just accepted it as being normal for the species. :dunno

The Winston proportions may have started as practical necessities, but they wound up contributing to the uniqueness and charm of the design.

I wonder if CGI has somewhat spoiled the art of creature design, at least for humanoids. You'd think digital 3D would expand the possibilities, but most filmmakers and artists use it as a way to pull more cues from reality. When everyone's aspiring to that goal, everything ends feeling the same: slim, greyish-brown zombies with monster teeth.

"Oh, it lives in a cave so it should be pale! And it crawls around the walls, so it should be lean!" Yeah, that sounds like the correct way to derive a natural, believable design. Problem is everyone's having that conversation.

I think this looks great so far! I really like the way how the medpack seems more slung across the back in an angle. The horizontal weapon looks like an extending club of some sort.

It all looks very promising to me and I can't wait to see this when it comes out.

Yep, lots of positives so far. Fingers crossed still. 🤞

I do like the diagonally-slung medpack, or whatever it is. The speargun(?) on the opposite shoulder also looks cool, curious to see how it works.

Not a fan of the reused AVP motifs on the mace or the fact that the gauntlets look a lot like Assassin's from the last movie. Sigh, ADI and their reuse...

ADI never made the Assassin though... He was all CGI.
