I am really curious as to how pricing will look on other sites.

Yes, good point. Unfortunately, being in Canada I don't have a whole lot of options for sideshow stuff. I think this may be a pass on my end, but it looks fantastic. I hope they follow these up with some legendary scale busts with Bio helmets.

Im in! :yess:

Yeah, sideshow has a thing with tilting heads recently, but at least this is not tilted "UP" like all the recent pred stuff! :clap

And to any of you on the line about the LSB line, let me just say that yes, the "human" pieces are a tad small, but all of the "inhuman" pieces I have (Sauron, Balrog, Darkness, etc) are a fairly decent size. Sure, they arent 1/1, but they arent tiny either.

Other sites will sell it at 10% off SS's price. no EX though.

Yep, all the baddies have a good size to them. Darkness being the smallest.

I dont like lsb's but this is too good to pass on. I think this is going to be one of those pieces that people wish they could go back in time to order when they first came up. Some people are complaining about the price but the level of detail compared to the average Marvel lsb is fantastic. As long as the finished paint job is very close to these pics (most Sideshow Predator pieces so far have been) then I cant see anyone being dissapointed when it arrives. Order it now, or you will pay double in a years time!:lecture

^^

Yes, yes, I agree whole-heartedly. However, I too must be one of the price complainers :) Personally, I'm going to wait it out to see what deals may or may not pop up after it's released. Gotta take my chances as I will not pay 350 for this.

Likeness seems off. The lower mandible seems to short and the rim or crown of the head does not look right to me. Just my opinion though.

You are not alone with such thought.
The crown area seems oversized and too tilt while the mandible area is a bit small and simply not the classic Predator I know yet maybe some mutant from AVP series. Poor sculpt:nana:

As much as i like the look of this im fed up with the prices of these things now, $350 is bad enough for this but by the time its travelled oversea's to us and weve paid 20% VAT and shipping + release fee's aswell it becomes ridiculous!! im out, il buy a P2 maquette if they ever get round to doing one and do him justice at that (knock on wood!) but im not interested in this, removable bio might have swayed me, and at this price it should have been includid! also, EX is a name plate?? even the cheap and very well made P1 dio of yesteryear had a name plate, they are standard! If SS wants people to buy direct then stop using distributers, why annoy those of us who can't always buy direct?! And as always with SS, it remains to be seen if production pieces look this nice?

:violin :monkey2

I think $350 is a bit much, that is why i will not be buying from Sideshow. Hopefully Scifigenre will have this for Preorder, with the 10% off and free shipping, it would bring it to $315 shipped. That I can manage.

I think $350 is steep also, but flex pay is what keeps me coming back to SS. If it wasnt for Flex pay I wouldnt be able to buy this pieces in cause sometimes I just cant drop that large of a chunk of change. If i break it down it makes the pain a little easier to take.

I thought that this would be my first LSB, but I was wrong. The price is horrible. It should have came with a shoulder mounted cannon or a removable bio. They also should have the head on a ball joint, so you don't have to have that stupid look. It reminds me of a dog being asked questions. I think this will be a huge regret to anyone buying if they make an open mouth or masked version. I'm sure it will still sell out, but I won't just buy anything related to Predator. It has to make me say awe, not what the f¥€£ is that! This was definately a huge dissapointment for me. At least alot of people seem to like it, which gives me hope for a masked or roaring mouth version.

The sculpt is far from poor but you guys are right... it's not 100% screen accurate. I am a Predator snob and i didn't want to be the first to talk about the likeness. The slope of the dome and crown looks more like the Pred from P2. The mandibles are VERY tough to nail perfectly...they look good, but not entirely accurate.

...the roaring mouth predator is so tired, I liked that they did it closed mouth and with one flaired out.

not sure how this is a "poor sculpt"? I dont see how anyone that knows anything about Preds could mix this guy up with any other Predator. Of course its not 100% accurate, the only reason why the 1:1 was, is because it was from the movie molds. I wish there wasnt an Ex for this, so then i wouldnt regret getting it from a retailer, but i wouldnt be elite if i didnt get the Ex :wave.

yeah, though the open/roaring portrait looks great, the closed mandibles look is best(for me at least), love it!
