I think the price may be a little bit of a reach, I think $299ish would be about right for this kind of quality predator piece...so its not far off on price in IMO. Those complaining about the sculpt, I guess were are all entitled to what we like - dislike about a piece. Me personally I like that artist's kinda make things there own and don't try to make it 100% likeness of the movie every single time a piece is made. Would get kinda tired of it personally. I do not think any predator fan can confuse this predator and seeing it you know exactly that this is the P1.

Personally I like the sculpt better than the original. I think the shapes and angles of the head just look better. Eh maybe its just me but sometimes I like pieces that are not 100% accurate and think they actually come out better than the original sculpt itself. The Hot Toys P1 Head, no....this piece so far as I see in the pictures, yes. In either case I think a predator fan should pick this up and I find myself seeing lots of people highly regretting not getting it while they can.

This is a must have! I've been wanting to add a Predator to the collection for a while. Looks like it will be fairly close in size to the Cody LSB, which I am extremely happy with, so the price seems ok.

I'd rather have my $350 P1 bust look as much like the actual creature as possible.. I can't see how anyone would want it to be any different. :dunno

Agreed. The P1 is IMO the most iconic man in suit movie monster ever (rivaled only by the creature from the black lagoon). It has been the subject of countless sculptures. Very few of which could be mistaken for a screen used prop. Sideshow has produced two of the finest P1 collectables ever. They set the bar high in terms of accuracy, but feel the LSB falls a bit short. Still a great piece, but I don't think they are meeting their own standard here.

the CM Pred is purposely not accurate, but as one can see, it holds its own very well as a lot of ppl consider it the best P1 collectible around, so I dont see the accuracy of the sculpt hurting this piece.

I like it but I'm a little disappointed that the exclusive isn't a biomask version. I really thought they'd go with that.

hmmm...............sounds like a good question to ask SS. Too bad they are way behind on the Pred questions as it is though.

yeah, though the open/roaring portrait looks great, the closed mandibles look is best(for me at least), love it!

Agree, i think the roaring mouth pred is the one everyone thinks of thats why im so tired of it. I pesronally love the closed mandible look. I love the closed mandible look and the extra added flaired mandible.

Why are so many surprised/disappointed in the lack of a bio? :dunno

I agree that a bio would have be nice, but I threw that idea out the window the minute we saw the first pics with a flared mandible. If he had a closed mouth, they could have done it, but with an open mandible, it would require a switch out FACE/HEAD. That's something you get with a 1/4 or smaller figure, NOT an LSB.

Or worse, a removable mandible that would have had an AWFUL seam. :yuck

You're being shortsighted. Sideshow has done in the past completely different exclusives. Remember the days of Gray Hulk? Or even the X-Men Sentinel Exclusives with swap out Wolverines? I don't need a bio that fits over this face.

They could have offered the exclusive with bio attached not swappable. Then those who wanted the mandibles could have gone for the regular, those who wanted the bio look could have gone for the ex and those diehards could have gone for both.

It'd be cool if SS released all the Predator LSBs without Bios, then later on went back and did them with the Bios....

Why would sideshow release a bio version as an exclusive for this one when they can sell another LSB version and get $350 for it?

It's going to be huge. Cody is 18" tall

18" or more is a good size...I can definitely live with that... and it looks like SS is planning on releasing more so with all that this will be one great line to get into...:yess:

I was wondering since the Regular and the EX cost the same why can't they just make only 1 version of this with the nameplate on it. This Regular and EX stuff just gets on my nerves, just make 1 nice product.
