Well, I'm pretty sure we guys will do whatever we want with our money. Regardless of how critically important the opinions are of people we haven't actually met... So yeah, I will keep it in the box till such a time as I can display it, once I move flats. I sleep well at night, even though it's in a box and not on display. It doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Maybe next time I see a piece I really, really, want I'll pass it by and wait till I get display space. Probably spend the money on something else... Sounds sensible seeing as such pieces are always conveniently available to purchase anyway.

I opened mine today and i'm very happy with the bust. It has a lot of weight to it and the paint apps are pretty good on mine. I can't wait to the next one in this line.

Congrats..have you notice how fragile this piece is in person?? Its best to keep inside a glass case..im afraid to put my hands on it sometimes

The Ex is back on for sale, maybe they found some in a dirty warehouse corner, under the Rambo PF boxes.

Yeah I was afraid to put pressure on some parts of the bust and it was tough re-packing him until I can find a final resting place for him.
Had a lot of problems with SS lately due to damaged statues but this time I got lucky.
Next thing to open is the Emp PF.

I feel my EX pieces get devalued every time something like this happens. And it happens a lot these days...

Anyway are there any UK buyers of this piece that ordered directly from Sideshow and got charged very high Fedex customs fees? We are finding significant differences between these charges and are trying to contact Fedex so please get in touch with me (PM) if you are affected. Even if you have already paid the charges.

Thanks

Bump for you...

so they have exclusives left over, just sitting around, yet they didn't have enough replacements for some people :cuckoo:

So mine just arrived and we have a BUNCH of problems. One dread was broken off into 2 separate pieces.

The back of the bottom of the base has a big chip. AND the seller on eBay who sold it to me made it seem like I was getting the exclusive when really he just sold me the regular edition.

Man I am pissed. I'm also in Canada so getting this thing shipped back and forth is going to be a PAIN. Damn it.

what did the seller say about it and why were you under the assumption it would a Ex?

ouch. That sucks. If the ebay seller isn't willing to cooperate, be sure to let us know his username so we can avoid it in the future

The seller and I are trying to work out some sort of refund or return. We're both concerned about shipping this figure back and forth due to costs and due to the packaging not being 100% effective in keeping the bust undamaged.

All the protruding details like the quills and dreads are just and accident waiting to happen when trying to get this thing re secured in it's box and then hoping it survives the bumpy truck rides through the postal service.

EDIT:

The seller refunded me $100 for the damage. I hate super-gluing collectibles but this time I will have to bite my tongue. $100 is quite a nice refund.

Mine arrived with two cracked dreads, but the paint was OK. I actually decided not to return it (for the reasons above). After an easy repair and some custom paint/accessory work, it's looking pretty good! Love it.

I had the exact same issue, two broken dreads. Luckily they were clean breaks and located at the back of the bust.

I added a custom accessory to mine as well. I painted the wishbone from the thanksgiving turkey and added it to the necklace. Currently I am making a custom nameplate.

Love this bust!

Yeah, between that and all these high ES's.. I'm starting to wonder if sideshow's massive ego has really gone overboard! Are they really making such large ES's because they aren't making all that money that the secondary market is making? It awfully seems that way.
