Thinking about snagging this one up. I have yet to get into the bust line, and I think this will be a good one to start with. The inclusion of the cannon really sets it off for me.

As much as I love this I kinda wish it was of another Predator. I know P1 will always be numero uno but there's already so much other stuff of him, including another LSB. I'd love to have an LSB of Celtic or Berserker. Maybe if this sells well, which I'm sure it will, then we'll get some more variety in the future. For space reasons I can't get this but it does look awesome. Bravo to all who snag it.

Make of this what you will, seems the EX might have a set es...

Hi Alex

What is the deal with the "Limited" description on the masked Predator LSB? Is this just an over site in that the now standard "TBD" was missed? or is this piece the Guinea pig for the start of a worrying trend? I realise LSFs have no ES but they are a different matter completely with the limited customers at that price bracket. This Predator has an EX and a regular version, surely it must have a set ES? Or is sideshow going the way of no size editions from now on?

Many thanks.

I'll have to check on the Predator LSB as I believe only one version between the regular and exclusive will be produced as a Limited Edition item and not with a specific XX/1,000 (for example) Edition Size.

That all said...there are still many (oh so many) items that are given a set numbered Edition Size over those that are given a Limited Edition designation. No, there are no plans to go a route where every single product will be produced as a Limited Edition item.

The EX will have a numbered edition size.

The regular wont I'm afraid...

Looked into and....Exclusive will have a numbered edition. Regular Edition will have a Limited Edition designation. This isn't necessarily a new thing. Rare. But not new.

:mwaha...

Still happy as it only cost me £35, after I dropped Ivy which was an impulse order.
Yeah, T&A still tempts me after all these years :slap

It is sure to maximise direct orders if it is... No ES sucks monkey balls at these price ranges. I Don't mind more being made so everybody can enjoy these things, but you can't have it both ways. The price should come down if the exclusivity disappears really.

LSFs are kind of different as very few people can afford them anyway although if they Wolf had been given a nice low ES I may have pounced.

I assume most of these will be destined for cabinets so battery option is a must.

With regards to the ES. Do you guys think the Ex will hold its value when the Reg will be available at retail for years to come?
People seem to think with only the Reg being open it won't affect the Ex. Who's going to pay top dollar for a nameplate instead of just getting the bust for less.
One part being OE surely affects both editions.

as much as i like it, its too late in the game for me personally, i own the first unmasked pred lsb, i personally think this should have been done a long time ago, when many were screaming for it..the laser effect is cool on this, nice to know you have it etc etc, i'm just saying...i think ppl will get this, but alot of ppl snapped the first one that was sitting on sideshow for ages, when the pred 2 lsb was announced (like me)..then we finally see this and no doubt a masked pred 2 cannon version, after everyone bought the unmasked pred 2 (i'm getting dizzy)...die hard fans will want them all, but regardless i definitely prefer the first one as it looks more terrifying on the shelf, plus i have a neca masked classic 1/4 which is huge and pretty accurate in any case...oh and quite a bit cheaper, but we are talking two different scales here, so depends what look your going for.

You make a valid point. It's hard to say though. I think a lot of Sideshow's EX's are lame and not worth the money, but people still always prefer the EX over the regular and usually pay more for it, simply because it is an EX and has lower ES. In this case, someone will probably pay more (not necessarily top dollar, but more than retail) to get the EX, given that it actually has an ES so it actually has some value, whilst the reg does not have an edition size, so some may not see the value in it. Plus, if someone has any of the other LSB EX's, they may want this for the name plate to match the others in their collection. Your argument can also be applied to the current situation of most pieces as well. If both a regular and EX of a certain item have sold out, both have ES but EX obviously lower, then why would anyone pay top dollar for an EX that may become available on the secondary market? They may as well wait for a reg to pop up on the secondary market for cheaper and snag that.

Personally, I really like the name plate. It's a simple add-on, but I feel it completes the piece. My main reason for wanting it however, is that I have both Alien LSB EX's on PO, so I want this one to match the rest.

Give it a couple of years, Sideshow will be the Hasbro of the collectable world.

Sad, but true. Unless other companies step up and start giving Sideshow a run for their money. This is why I love Pop Culture Shock. Truly limited collectables with low ES's that sell out fast, and the ES is actually set before PO's go live. That's the way these things should be. Actually makes you feel like you own something valuable and limited, and part of the fun is being lucky enough to score a piece before it sells out.

That went up yesterday Matt.

Going off $50 postage the Regular will be £55 cheaper for me.
Not worth the extra for a nameplate and number on the bottom. Still a joke though!
