That looks great, was it hard to do?

Not really. Hardest party is popping out the lens without damaging the mask. You may need to nail file down the sockets if you do mark it up with your tool.

The I just needed to make a semi close shape for the lens plug to put the card over it and pushed it back behind the sockets and tapped it to the inside of it.

I have a spare bio mask which I did poke the lens out of that I don't need. I can use that to show you what I did without interfering with the one I'm using. I can post it tomorrow.

The first display came out so good I decided to go bigger and try trees and rocks, along with moss from the lawn. I wanted to have a large area for the Predator. I spent ZERO $0.00 on this project, just my time. I would love feedback, good or bad.

that is just soooo cool. strongly reminds about final scene of predator beating the crap out of human in swamps.
:clap:clap
p.s. "crap" word wasn't censored O_O

:horror WOW!
That looks absolutely amazing!! Im making a custom base myself, but Im sculpting all the rocks and trees etc and using plastic plants.
Seeing yours makes me lose all hope! How can I compete with real trees and stuff! :monkey2

Thank you, Thank you TFG!! The real stuff looks nice and no painting required, Mother Nature was the artist!! The only downside is that everything is fragile and delicate. Would love to see your base when your done.

Great...
I've been waiting for that one :clap

Here ya go man. It isn't the greatest tutorial or the greatest pictures, but I think you will get the idea.

What you want to do first is use something to poke out the lens from the Bio mask. I used a pair of scissors, but be careful since you can snag the lip of the eye socket, which is what I did with this spare mask I'm using here.

For the purposes of the tutorial, I snapped the lens flap back in place, you still need to use it for this mod to work.

If you happen to snag the eye socket and mark it up, you can use a nail file to make it run smooth but beware you might do it too much and it makes the opening too big and it doesn't look right.

Here is a leftover piece of a material I used for it. I wanted to give you a clearer shot of how reflective it is. It's black, I bought black and silver but silver was way too bright and didn't look like the movie lens at all.

Just cut off a piece that is big enough to extend slightly out of the area of the lens.

It looks pretty poorly cut, but for the purposes of showing you how to do it, it works. One thing I don't think anyone touched on, the lens aren't symmetrical and the left lens is slightly bigger. You could use double sided tape to secure it to the lens flap but I didn't need to, you just need to adjust it slowly before putting it back in.

The reason I chose to put it over the lens is because if you just put the material in there without anything forcing it forward, you get gaps. It took a lot of trial and error to finally get it. You also get gaps between the new lens and the bridge of the nose section of the bio which you can see from the side but using the original lens gets rid of that.

Things to beware of at the point of putting it back in is you might end up wrinkling the new lens since it's basically cardstock. Youismay want to use tape to secure it to the bio but I don't think it needs it personally and the only thing that would make it come out is human fingers forcing it out.

I hope this helps you man, or anyone else trying to cheaply mod the bio.

Here is the eBay listing I got it from, as I said I ordered the black version.

Hi guys. I really like the pictures everyone is posting. I just got the classic predator from a fellow board member and I really like but like most people I want to make him look more like the original movie predator. Any help on where to look is appreciated.

I'm doing something similar for my Geene Prop dinosaur.

Try to pick up the MMS90 bone trophies and arm ties. It looks so incomplete without them.

well... he's still 60% "HT classic predator figure". if you count body & head for 50% :)

That's pretty frigging awesome P. How much of that is custom sculpted, and how much was parted out from other Preds?

I know the Bio is custom and the body is classic.
