i do not know what Tsang sculpted. the figure represents a very free interpretation of the character Predator 1 (or Classic Predator). a figure does not represent any one particular character from the Predators, which is in the movies.

Calling him "classic" predator Hot Toys have taken artistic license to reinterpret your "regular average" Predator. Its not the one Dutch killed or the one that helped Royce, but its what one of their subtype would possibly look like.

Personally, I don't see a problem with that at all. Its like sculpting an average SS soldier or a US marine or a Space Marine or an ork or whatever.

Of course it is. Classic was referred to as classic during the filming. The figure is based off the movie. The base is from the movie, its armor changes such as the canon are that of Classics and it is released under the Predators lable. It is meant to be the one that helped royce. It just so happens it looks a bit more athletic in body due to the fact it is a 1:6 toy and not a 1:1 man in a suit. It is just the face with artistic license.

But to say that it is not meant to be the one who helped Royce?! That is like saying Royce isnt meant to be Royce because his nose is Artistically not facing -> enough

When I have the Classic Predator I'm going to put it side by side with P1 (yes, I finally have it! I'm really glad I took the chance now that many people are selling it and the price decreased a lot and I love the figure! ) with a note saying "Not the same! Thank you".
