Still haven't seen the film (kinda thought it would be a renter anyway) but Brian Steele was nice enough to sign at the SS booth during Con; it was cool meeting him.

:yess:

Why make this place look like Earth? Aren't they honing their skills on all kinds of creatures? Or, are humans the most dangerous?:lol They could have at least had a quick scene where they talk about how odd some of the vegetation looks.

Chaps, haven't seen the film but I don't really care if its spoilt on me, I've heard it makes referance to the events of the first film - as in not just an homage. What is that referance? I'm just puzzled as to how any of the characters in this film have any clue about Arnie's encounter.

The chick Isabelle lays it out. When The Pianist suggests following the Alien dog tracks back to the Predator camp (yeah.. they have a little camp) they encounter the "Classic" Predator tied up like a FUBAR.

The Pianist notices that Isabelle has a weird look on her face.

Skip ahead (no need to spoil what happens at the Predator Cub Scout camp) and Royce calls her out about it in front of the rest of the people who are still living at that point and Isabelle relates the story of Arnie and his team and what happened. Apparently Arnie gave an official statement of the incident (including a description of the Predator) and Isabelle somehow got a hold of that info.

Really lame IMO.

I dont see how...it's a way of making the exposistion easier. That way, they didnt have to re-explain to the audience everything we already know.

That's the problem with making a sequel to a movie that's 20 years old (I mean predator 2). None of my friends have seen Predator. So they know nothing about the creature. It was an easy way to get some info out of the way without having to keep explaining. I hate that. Which was why Nolan kinda annoyed me.

AvP-R sucks, but one thing I liked about it was, none of the characters NEEDED to find out what they were...they just ran. No stopping and explaining. That's more realistic.

____...I cant spell for ____ tonight...:lol

like l said before. they should of mentioned in the film that preds took plants and stuff from earth. l wondered my self, and was like. this is stupid, how did he know what plant that was. well they should of mentioned in the movie how he knew. just bad writing.

This is the only place where I think the movie could've improved. Lots of cool ideas, yet they didn't explore any of them AT ALL. This goes doublies for the Falcon. What, one small scene with it and we're supposed to figure out everything about it? If it wasn't for the leaked script and interviews, most people wouldn't know jack ____. Hope the DVD has a buttload of deleted scenes.

For someone who hated the movie you sure do spend an awful lot of time discussing it. :lecture :rotfl

I wont deny, I love talking about movies I hated. :lol

It's more fun. Hence why i'm not really discussing anything. :lol

There are exceptions....inceptions...heh. :D :lol

I mean, what else can you say about Predators? I liked it...it was fun...but thats it. Inception? You can go on for HOURS picking apart that movie....:D
