X-Men Origins: Wolverine 4/10.
I wouldn't say I hated it. Let's put it like this, if there was no such thing as "Predator" I would've liked Predators a lot more. But as is, there was just WAY too much recycling/copying in Predators for me to really get into it. I honestly felt like I was watching a reboot as opposed to a sequel. Also I still think Brody was miscast and looked completely out of place. And I don't think much of that actress who played Isabelle. Didn't like her in I Am Legend either.
I'd rank them like this:

I agree with some of your points. But I, to be honest, wasnt bothered by the homages.
I think the fact that there wasnt as much homages, or atleast to me, not as noticable, as AvP-R, it really didnt bother me. I mean, i'll admit there was some lame one's in Predators. But they had a "reason" for it...or a more logical one then AvP-R did. AvP-R actually just pasted scenes, and shots right into their movie. Almost exacly. It was too much.
Predators.....eh...it wasnt as in your face as AvP-R was. Except for the Billy scene....and KILL ME NOW. Both of those sucked to high heaven.
I still disagree about Brody. I thought he was perfect in the movie. However, if I had to have a new actor...i'd be this guy.

They could've cast practically anyone in the Royce role and gotten fairly similar results. It's the fault of the script and screenplay. I thought Brody was one of the few highlights in the film. Granted, a sinking ship doesn't make anyone on crew look good, but generally I think he did his best given the content. He's an atypical actor for this type of role, but he carried it for the most part.

They needed to push harder in the script. I enjoyed reading it because they went into cool places...however, those places were both replaced, and or, taken out of the movie. You should check out the script. It's pretty good.

The reason I think Brody was miscast was, he's at his best in dramatic roles. His Oscar is for a dramatic role. I also said his acting ability would be meaningless in Predators and I was right because there wasn't much material for him (or any other role TBH). And that's because it's a monster movie. So his acting "pedigree" meant absolutely nothing.
Also the "Dark Knight" voice was annoying and forced.

Michael Jai White as Royce
Ayelet Zurera as Isabelle (Who IS Israeli coincidentally)
Giovanni Ribisi as Edwin
Elias Koteas as Noland
Kane Kosugi as Hanzo
I would've kept Goggins (Stans), Oleg (Nikolai), Ali (Mombasa) and Trejo (Cuchillo) the same except Nikolai would NOT have a mini-gun. Not only was that just another lame "homage" to P1 but also it was utterly worthless: He unloads at both Royce and Cuchillo from like 10 feet away and doesn't hit either one!?
Also the "Dark Knight" voice was annoying and forced.

Huh. I actually like that cast....
Jai White is cool...but he never gets to shine...he's usally pretty terrible...sans Black Dynomite. But I still like him.

doesn't matter who would of been in predators it still would of sucked. look at the movie Righteous kill. amazing cast Pacino, Deniro, but the movie still sucked ass. there's lots of movies like that. a great cast can't save a sheitty movie Script that's just horrible.
