hey Omar,

ended up ordering o ren from CS and Bride from iminime, this was during the launch of CS and my confusion led me to place the DX bride order with denny to avoid a possible DX cowboy situation. will they both ship together or seperate?

The sideshow baroness was my first....I coveted that sexy cartoon minx as a kid!....my custom michonne was number two...I plan to flank yakuza and the bride on each side of her....badarse samurai:yess:

I would imagine together. But I'm not sure

think I might start putting together my Tarantino figures to form a nice display. Sideshow's Reservoir Dogs, Hot Toys Basterds, Rainman's Pulp Fiction, Iminimes Kill Bill and putting together a few customs to beef it up.

She was a minx indeed! :lol

I had a kiddie crush on her too

Why does everyone like Stuntman Mike? I love Kurt Russell, I also love Tarantino, I was so excited when I heard they were working together, but Death Proof is HORRIBLE! It is the worst Tarantino film! He even admitted it himself that its his worst haha, and in the movie Stuntman Mike starts out as a badass but they turn him into a little *****, that movie is such garbage! Uh god I even hate talking about it, worst PoS ever haha.

That was kinda the point. Psychos are just humans, if you break them, they'll bleed and cry and beg for their lives just like a *****. It's supposed to show just how pathetic he is. He's not the hero of the movie. That would be Rosario's crew. We focus on the bad guy the first half and the second half, he underestimates his prey and gets his. It's actually perfect for that Tarantino idea he loves to do about revenge and victims and women's strength.

Mike is appealing still because of his character being so unique and played so well by a beloved cult actor. Really, not much different than rooting for Freddy Krueger etc cept that Quentin wanted to really have Mike suffer for his victims.

LOL The switch to him being a whiny ***** at the end is pretty hilarious IMO. I actually don't care much for a huge chunk of the film where it's just the girls hanging out, etc. But I LOVE Stuntman Mike.

Mike makes a better figure than you'd guess given how simple he is. Here's a custom I used to have. On a modern muscle body with better arms, it'd be pretty cool.

I guess your right its just I hate that movie so much and Tarantino has a talent for making characters look badass and having loved Kurt Russell in almost everything he does and loving Tarantino I was so let down, I wanted Tarantino to really give Kurt Russell the badass treatment and he used such an awesome actor and turned him into such a ***** in the movie, I just couldn't stand it... Such a waste, also I'm all for women's strength I mean I'm even buying the bride and considered O'Ren, but I couldn't stand those characters, I thought they were so annoying and couldn't pull off being badass and I can't stand the hard on Tarantino has for Zoe Bell, uhhhh she should stick to stunts. Sorry haha I just loathe that film, such a travesty to his awesome career.

But you wanted him to be bad-ass and root for him as he murdered woman and got away with it or...? I mean he's a pos the whole movie. The only reason he's in that bar is to stalk and abuse and ultimately murder women so as the sheriff puts it, "he can shoot his goo." He murders a lot of girls, it's pretty satisfying seeing him become such a complete child towards the end. It's like how it would be dissapointing to shoot Hitler in the head... that's too quick for the amount of people he made suffer. The only real flaw imo is that the girls who kill him could have had a little more time, and a little less dedicated to Mike at the bar. But the even split makes it an interesting situation to be sure. We get just enough time to see what a scumbag he is and just enough time to see he ****ed with the wrong girls. And ofc that's the point, it's a grindhouse movie that's supposed to seem low budget and old school that uses over the top themes to draw people in instead.

He's actually got a track record of making initially or superficially bad ass characters seem less bad ass. Vince Vega dying on the toilet, Bud being a bouncer who gets humiliated by the owner of a strip club and dies anticlimactically, Hans Landa being humbled at the end of that film, etc. Mike's not really so different IMO. I think Tarantino may have let his own affinity for doing "fun, casual" conversations get away from him with Death Proof, though. Particularly when he was writing for women.

Plus, again, it was ultimately half of a bigger picture.

He's making a grindhouse double feature with his friend, more or less in his prime, and trying to dumb down his own genius for the sake of the subject matter.

If he had put Inglorious Basterds on the tail end of Grindhouse, we'd be **** talking Planet Terror for being so bad. :lol

I don't know I just didn't like seeing Kurt Russell be such a ***** haha, thought Tarantino could of used him in something else and give him the full on badass treatment, and I don't mind badass characters meeting ends like Vincent and Hans Landa who are two favorites of mine but Vince died on a toilet but wasn't rly on it at the time and Hans Landa had his head carved into but neither of those endings were as humiliating as Stuntman Mike begging and whining like such a ***** uhhh I can't even watch it, and I know his motives are bad but I can still find a character a badass despite that, look at Alex DeLarge and Hans Landa, they are really bad people but I have figures of them and love the characters, Stuntman Mike on the other hand I just shake my head, guess we have just different views.

That's o.k. but don't forget that Alex is humiliated pretty well too. He licks that dweeb's **** heel clean.
