Okay...I'm the one that used the word moron and I said it was over the line. I expressed my disappointment in an overly-emotional way (please let the feminine insults begin). But even that picture above is not Gold on her clothing. That is a darker yellow in the shadows. Don't believe me, contact Laura Martin the colorist. She will tell you the uniforms are not blue and metallic gold. On all three versions this is messed up. It is not very noticeable on Cyclops because of how little it is used. It is more noticeable on Beast but still hidden due to it only being half his body and his position. The colors really should have matched Wolverine's on all of them. The AXM suit is supposed to be darker than his classic yellow. The costumes (in the story) were all designed at the same time to make them look like a team. They all matched (outside of Emma's..but who really could stand seeing the White Queen in anything but white). The mistake in color choice is more apparent with Kitty because it is the majority of her costume. If you look at the multitude of other images too...she is not gold. Heck...you want to see the right way these should be painted look at the DST Mini-Busts of Astonishing X-men. The colors for those are DEAD ON.

I only have two issues that make me hesitate in buying this statue (and 24 hours ago there was no hesitation. I would have sold my left testicle to purchase this.). First the lights. The exclusive HAS to have lights. I could painfully deal with the gold (because I would just get it repainted) if they would give me some lights to turn on. I just can't believe that they didn't think everyone wouldn't be disappointed with a change-o-torso compared to flickering lights. Second is the gold. I will purchase this from another website when it goes on sale if neither of these issues are fixed. If they fix at least one I'll buy from them. Those are my conditions. There is NO WAY this piece will rise in value like the others. It's just too big of a let down compared to both of the others and it isn't that spectacular of a stand alone piece.
 
I'm with karma i'm a big X-men fan... I think sideshow should of left it they way it was... TO ONE DIO!... I am disappointed in the execution of this last diorama [admin edit]

Im just glad im on the wait list for the second (CANCELED TODAY). I'm keep my 1 dio ex, in its awsome state!..

The 1st dio was the best and one of sideshows best works.

Oh god how awful. It's like a side piece. They should have just left cat out. Too bad she can't be removed.

And Karma, I agree with you 100%. While I have no major complaints about the sculpt or pose (other than Kitty not phasing through the sentinel), the loss of a lighted exclusive is a major let down. I will still order this, though I don't know if I'll get the regular or not.

I'm predicting an EX with lights and interchangeable wolverine tops. Actually I'm praying it comes out like that.

I was hoping that too until I read the production blog. It clearly states that the exclusive is the ****ty version of wolverine. No mention of lights anywhere :emperor

After reading some of the previous posts I'm at a loss of words. I went back to look at the Beast/Queen diorama and yes the choice of pose is very similar in nature. I agree that Wolverine could have used an action pose, maybe his claws slashing at the break point signifying the damage to the foot. It terms of Kitty, her leg appears to phase into the foot and I really can't say the sculpt is exact to the White Queen. I mean, how many ways can you sculpt a generic female face. Certainly it's everyone's right to disagree with a sculpt but constructive criticism leads to better products not calling Sideshow employees "moron's" which is completely classless. A fact I guess many new people on this board clearly don't understand is that Sideshow listen's to their customers and interacts with us here on a regular basis. In my opinion being called a "moron" doesn't exactly get the creative juices going. Maybe instead of blowing your top and hurling insulting remarks at Sideshow, provide constructive criticisms that actually may be taken under advisement.

Buddy im not sorry if you took the sclupt bashing the wrong way... if you read my prevoius posts... I say i like the sclupt and the paint application are ok. ITS THE BOOT STANDING UP! and no lights!....WTF.

Also i think the big problem is the Exclusive looking worse then the Normal version. I think thats the big issue with everyone here. Im upset at the fact that the positions of the charcters are boring they look like the second dio. Also when you have a Major Charcter like wolverine, you better do your home work. Kitty is a secondary which is understable....

So if you took offense to the "TURD" comment, im sorry. Im my personal opinion, This piece is part of a series, by producing it brings down the HYPE!, the EXCITEMENT!, and EXPERINCE... of the first and second. Im a Heated Xmen FANBOY whos upset that sideshow screw the pooch on this piece.

I'm not thrilled about this final Vs. diorama. My major complaint is the standing boot. Makes the composition of the diorama too vertical and unspectacular. Perhaps Wolverine deserved to be portrait alongside a more important part of the Sentinel, like the head, or the arm/hand, but unfortunately Sideshow has fired that shot already: the first VS. dio remains my favorite, it still rocks!
The exclusive is, to say the least, not really inventive either: we've had this interchangeable-unmasked-Wolverine-portrait-trick at least 2 times al ready (Wolverine commiquette & Wolverine Vs. Sabretooth)! One could say that fans collecting the comiquettes not necessarily collect the Diorama's or the VS. pieces, but still...
I don't mind the golden outfit on Kitty though. Her headsculpt is what bothers me. But that's personal I guess.
I'm curious if this last VS Sentinel diorama will really come without the light-up function. I remember that it was exactly this feature that pulled me over the line to buy the first diorama. Would be a pity.
