It's an illusion caused by bones trophy on his belly. He looks totally fine on that render.

This is what I initially thought (mentioned on page 6 bone jewelry worn around the waist in photo 2).

Agree with you my main concern is how the paint job and finer details turn out. Proportions not a concern.

If the owner of Prime 1 himself says that's the ultimate collectible for any Predator 1987 fan, then let's hope it's true... I don't see him often on a vid talking like this about one of the Prime 1 pieces. We will see

yup. John Pham . . .

Given his background & age, I don't think he's the owner Vince. His title is "Director of Project Management".

He may hold an important role in decision making, but the "director" appellation can mean anything these days (one of my neighbours has the title and he might as well be "VP of paperclips" for all the influence/importance HE has).

Certainly doesn't make him an expert on how Predators should look - but then again - that's what his art-direction team and sculptors are there for - and I think they've done a great job (as usual) - just needs a nip & tuck job.

So is the founder the owner? You make me doubt now. I mean that's what everybody says in the collecting world.

All I did was look him up on LinkedIn (see below). Conclusions may differ depending on how you read this.

If Laurentian use the same clause they used to, then THEY own his ass (and PRIME1). I've no idea.

The chief commercial officer (CCO) (sometime referred to as the chief business officer) is an executive-level role, with the holder being responsible for the commercial strategy and the development of an organization. It typically involves activities relating to marketing, sales, product development and customer service to drive business growth and market share. As a corporate officer position, the CCO generally reports directly to the chief executive officer (CEO) and is primarily concerned with ensuring the integrated commercial success of an organization. The role typically must combine technical knowledge of the relevant field with strong marketing and business development skills.

Essentially, a CCO takes ownership of the customer and the customer interface with the product or service offering, making sure that all functions of the organization are aligned to meet its strategic commercial objectives. This means that they are closely linked to the organization's strategic management function, in drafting, implementing and evaluating cross-functional decisions that will enable an organization to achieve its long-term objectives.

This genuinely made me laugh out loud, thank you. :lol I do think this is going to be a wonderful and impressive statue, and the render does look better than the actual statue does proportion wise. The fact that this is a digital sculpt means that they could easily tweak a few things to really perfect it. They can start by toning down that texture that they control in a few areas. They obviously have a better view of the proportions in person than us, maybe they will revaluate that just to be sure given so many people seemed to immediately suggest it's a little off, now is definitely the time to do so. Or maybe they will conclude that it's fine in person. Either way I look forward to seeing more and I hope that the price isn't too off putting.

I will say that his mask is one of his most important features. And it was really disappointing on their 1/4 version for several reasons. I really hope that they give that detail more love on this statue.
