I really don't know...

If SS did free shipping (yeah I know i'am deluded lol) then it would help me justify it.

I go to Florida in September so thats really bad timing for me lol

I presume it's gonna be a relatively small ES and sell out uber quick too.

At this stage I am out I think as with shipping and tax the price is gonna spiral wildly into la la land!

Despite it shipping in September, I imagine that would be those shipping direct from Asia....Sideshow will undoubtedly encounter delay after delay so dotn be surprised not to see this until December or worse still early 2015

Thanks for the link NextLevel I've still got over $400 worth of reward points to use so gonna wait for Sideshow to list it...hopefully this will take the edge of the final price

I talked to prime1 last year from wonderfest they already told me that optimus should be more expensive than Megatron
due the fact the numbers of parts double than Meg and the switch out parts

Sideshow should be around 2199$ -2299$ i guess
I talked to prime1 last year from wonderfest they already told me that optimus should be more expensive than Megatron
due the fact the numbers of parts double than Meg and the switch out parts

kinda makes sense in that a lot of detail has gone into making Prime...but having been smaller than Tron I was assuming it would still fall into the $2k range

did a quick calculation on how much the VAT import cost will be to order this from Sideshow at $2.4k (minus the shipping so the total will eventually be more) will be approx. $480

What would have been your limit nextlevel99? Out of curiosity? Would you still be buying Prime if it was anything more than $2.5K? For me, anything more that $2.5K would just be utterly ridiculous...the most I've ever spent on a collectible is approx. $2.2K and even that is just an insane price for a collectible...most people would buy cars or nice furniture or even get your children into a good college with that sort of money

Only Optimus Prime i will buy at 3k max. I always want the perfect version of it no the matter the cost.
Is really depend how muchg love you have for this Character but Prime hes my holy grail
am pretty confident this is the last Prime you will see as statue form.

The new version is completely diffrent Knight- samurai am pretty sure Prime1 will do it.

I'm really disappointed about the price increase, it was a lot at 2K, but I was in at that price, albeit with some reluctance (money don't grow on trees after all), but at 2.4k, don't know, it just makes me feel like I'm spending stupid money on a statue. I'll have to think long and hard about it, that's a lot of alternative stuff I could buy for that amount of money. Worst thing is it also increases the VAT cost to UK owners.

I'll wait till SS stock it to make a decision, I'm not risking 2.4k on websites I don't know.

bide your time on this one...best bet is to miss out on the Exclusive and order direct from Sideshow. Most likely the price will be a little less than $2.4K anyways and will most definitely work out cheaper than ordering from a local retailer for those EU collectors...

That's what I'm doing mate...got over $400 points worth which I haven't touched since I started collecting from Sideshow...to think I always wanted the feeling of getting a statue for free when finally using my points

You'd need a few more points to get this bastard free. $400 just about gets a PF these days. This hobby is getting a bit crazy with the prices now. Soon the bubble will burst and all our collectibles will be worthless.

You may have a point there in all honesty...this hobby will definitely get out of control price wise in the next year or two for sure...then I'd say at least 50% of us poor ****ers will be screwed
