I've actually been thinking about that alot. I mean the difference in size from 1/3 to 1/2 is nothing to sneeze at so I kinda understand the money difference. Just look at the size of the DK Joker compared to the AK Batman, it's a pretty big difference. However, given money and space, if let's say Prime1 were to do a 1/3 comic Batman and SSC were to do a 1/2 Comic Batman...what would I do? It's going to be tough, I think, to decide.

I think it'd all come down to details and pose, really! If one comes out first, and you're hesitant, then maybe that speaks more for you internally than you realize! If one comes out and your jaw drops and you just know, then that's a plus too! The Prime 1 Arkham line for me right now is just astonishing. Every time I look at Batman I'm blown away by the facial details, and overall details that will likely be only more impressive in person. Not saying SS couldn't do that too, but I just loved the AK Batman as soon as I saw it and didn't hesitate. That's how I felt with SS Spider-Man too.

Sometimes that initial feeling is all you need...and sometimes it's not. Sometimes a statue will nag at you over time saying, "You know you want me!" and that'll sway you, which is good too. But to me, nothing beats that feeling of seeing a statue and just knowing you must have it. That's how I make my decisions most of the time in this day and age of having to be extremely selective!

I have no interest in AK character so I would get a CW statue instead.

That's the other thing...we got a lot of room for interpretation on versions of these characters.

Sideshow has their own take on classic designs, although to be fair they try to keep it classic. It's very easy to look at most of the AK P1 line as having a bit of that Sideshow twist on classic costumes. The same way we look the other way when the Catwoman PF has heels instead of boots, WW PF has only a couple of stars on her underpants or Batgirl PF being a combination of different outfits into one. Nothing is exactly pure or accurate.

Who is to say Sideshow's version of Deathstroke will be as strong as the AK version? It would have to be Lobo PF quality to stand a chance...and it still would not be as large as 1/3 scale. If you are a Batman fan and patiently wait for Sideshow to continue their Bat-family PF line (no show at this SDCC)...well, Prime 1 will get your attention. It's hard to look the other way at some of this awesomeness.

Yes, I personally like this size. I like 1/4 too but the 1/5 is a little easier on the wallet and space AND there is still the potential to really mix in the details.

If they do a big 1/5 line I'm out of the 1/3. Hopefully it's true so I can buy more statues

They are making 1/5 justice league line since I hear in other forum, I guess need to be collaborate from prime but I think is true

They said too they are doing the 2 most powerful villains in DC for the 1/5 scale, and when I told Kira if they are The Anti-monitor and Darkseid, she didn't respond..same thing she did when I asked about Jim Lee Batman in 1/3 before they mention him

Interested to see more. Although I don't know why this is called the Army of Bats if there are also Justice League members and villains.

I believe it's two different lines, one is just a general DC 1/5 scale license that covers all DC Characters, the other Army of Bats will only be various Batman designs done over the years...
