Statue Prime1 Studio - Batman - The Dark Knight Rises 1/3

AH man I wish I knew prime 1 was making this before I bought the SSC PF version. SSC did a decent job on theirs but its nothing like this one. I can't justify owning both though because I would only display one of them, which means the SSC version one would go back in the box. I didn't spend 500 on that one too keep it in a box. I guess I could sell it but I don't like selling statues unless its local, too much risk of damage during shipment and/or the buying bitching about some microscopic flaw I never noticed. As such, I'll probably have to just settle on the pf I own and pass on this new prime 1 version. Atleast its not as bad as their other movie PF's, they did a decent job on everything except the paint application on the small part of the face that's exposed (mouth and chin). The paint could be way better on that, lol. They only had a tiny spot to paint for the face but I guess it was still too hard for them to do it right...

Sell or trade it if you can. Prime 1 is a whole nother level very well worth it with multiple switch-outs.

I know what your talking about..Prime 1 is definitely on another level in terms of playing field then ssc... Once you go prime 1 you never go back

Wow. Those improvements have just shot this straight to the top of my pre order list. Just stunning!

I’m with you on that-this is goin to be my first statue and first prime1 purchase-it looks phenomenal!

Still the eyes on the Bale Batman bugs me. Why Prime1 picked such a neutral eyes when Bale most of the time has squinty eyes , I hope they fix that. IMO only Enterbay and Sideshow have nailed the eyes of Bale under the cowl.

This is not a joke. The headsculpt is bad, the eyes are huge, reminds me Hot Toys Batman DX12 with PERS, they really need to improve the damn thing. Come on Prime1, give me something better than the PF from Sideshow (which IMO has the best TDK headsculpt to date):

Their paint quality is on another level than Sideshow. So if u can buy the same character from Prime as you can from Sideshow then it makes sense not to go back to buying pieces from them.

Thanks for the pic Shoo, I am guessing the face area will be translucent resin. Had no interest in getting this until I saw the video PhoenixBlazes posted, looks amazing!

Agreed, but I like everything about this better, especially the pose of him holding the gun.

You have pretty low standards, especially for a $1.000 statue, well $1.500 for me, after shipping cost and taxes. I'm not buying this one if they don't improve the headsculpt

I'm not sure if you are serious, I'll give you a hint, the one on the right is Christian Bale as Batman, check the eyes, check the size of the eyes in proportion to the rest of the head, check the black make-up around the eyes. In the so "called" Batman TDK statue by prime one there is almost no black make-up around the eyes, the eyes are almost as big as the cowl eye cavities... the shapes on the cowl are also wrong. When it comes to TDK headsculpt I'm a perfectionist

lol the detail and realism is awesome, but looking at him just standing there on that base, arms to the sides, reminds me of the Hot Toys DX12. Even the base is the same.
