Whatever, I have now had enough. I have spent OVER $100,000 on sideshow products, I can't even get any exclusives anymore, what is the point then? Because of this MY ENTIRE COLLECTION IS GOING TO BE SOLD (Look on show your shelves) I have lost ALL faith in sideshow now. Value your customers?????????

Wow 100,000 $ and you come here crying.... :monkey1
Go on Wait list, watch Ebay, if I spend 100,000$ for products I cannot complain.:duh

I have to agree that this Sold Out TBD crap for Exclusives isn't the way to go. If it is TBD, then it shouldn't sell out until that HBD. If they already know how many they want to make, and it would seem the do if these "sell out" in just a few minutes, then don't list them as TBD. List the edition size

I'm frequently in a meeting or unable to be at the computer at 10 AM on Friday. But I get on the waitlist and just about always get converted.

The only way to prevent such a quick sellout is to raise the edition size substantially - which would not only piss off a lot of collectors (not me though) but also probably stick them with a bunch of left over pieces after a bunch of cancellations.

By limiting the availability to newsletter members, at least it's a smaller pool of buyers than it might be.

That's weird,I would think by working for SideShow, you get some kinda of preference,it's like working Blockbuster and have to reserve a movie.

I don't want to go on a rant, and a few of the people making smart comments in this thread and the Wolverine PF thread were the same people ?????ing when the PZ EX fiasco happened, but Sideshow does need to figure out a more efficient way to do preorders and I agree that Thursday night newsletters seem to be more stable than these PPO's that just bog down more often than not.

This is the 2nd preorder in a row (Darth Talon being the other) that I have been at my computer before 10:00 and still got stuck on the WL because of server issues; I am on a fast laptop, in So-Cal, and on fios, so the problem isn't on my end.

Dave doesn't work for Sideshow.

The PZ PF EX pre-order was a joke. Limited to only 100 pieces and they didn't even bother with a PPO. Something that limited shouldn't just go up randomly on Thursday night. They really screwed a lot of people with that one.

I prefer the PPO to having to sit in front of the computer for hours waiting for an item and not knowing when its going to pop up. Aside from those two things (or raising edition sizes) I don't know what else they could do. Because when they tried the lottery everyone hated it, for good reason.

Plus like everyone else said, get on the waitlist, it'll convert.

You and I normally agree with each other, but I don't see that much of a difference between PZ EX and this simply because it is a flood of people, trying to order a hyped-up, exclusive item, and Sideshow's servers couldn't handle it resulting in people trying to order and getting stuck with errors or the long load times. The only true difference between Wolverine and the PZ EX/Darth Talon is that those had the ES already listed, so Sideshow couldn't bump the ES a bit to let more fans get their hands on one.

The Wolverine EX is TBD, so hopefully Sideshow will realize that a) their servers clogged at launch making the preorder a semi-lottery and b) the Wolverine EX sold out in under 3 minutes.

It isn't "hours," it is usually sometime between 5-6 pst and I have had way, way less problems preordering through the Newsletter than via PPO.

No stress, it's a TBD, you could wait until Monday to finally get on the WL and you'll still end up with a Wolverine Ex! :lol

Chill papo

I missed the PPO today and cursed like a crazy muther????er! :lol

Sorry, I should have been more specific, I wasn't referring to the newsletter. If a thousand people are wanting to order the item those thousand people are just as likely to be on waiting for the newsletter to post. The difference being that if it goes up with the newsletter Sideshow can't stream their site and ease the server overload like they can during a PPO. So to me the next step would be saying that an item is going to go up on this day sometime between this time and that time. That'll make it alot harder for people to jump on it right when it goes up.

Dave DOES NOT work for Sideshow. Dave is a Superfan (Sorry Josh) who created this site to show his appreciation to the company he loves. Sideshow comes here and does stuff in appreciation of the forum itself and because they are awesome.

That's it. The two are not related.

Dave is my cousin and after being rejected by the Whole family, he created this site.

The big diference is that firstly the newsletter does not go out to everyone at the same time, and even that time is going to be 3am in the world somewhere. At least with a PPO you know you need to be up at 3am to order.

Thanks for the explanation.

Close thread now.:naughty

Seriously IMO if you have 100,000 invested in statues than more power too you. I think you should have less to worry about than missing a pre-order. :lol I think you should invest in a life. :D

What was the lottery I don't think I ever tried that...
