God help me! I have taken off the backpack on my Dallas figure as the light's weren't working. The good news is I cleaned the batteries and the backpack light's now work and look fantastic. The bad news is that I had to remove the straps from the little clasps to get the goddamned thing off and I cannot get the bloody things back in. I've been trying now for an hour and I'm starting to crack. Have any of you guys got any advice please?

Whew! Sorted. Handily enough you can snap out the clasp holders and then hold the strap in place and pop the clasp back into place. It's very fiddly but it's the only way. Jayzus I just realised that that's taken me two and half hours!?

I just got mine and I'm totally loosing the rag putting these hands on.

Thank goodness Hot Toys have stopped making them like this.

Going to pub! I will until mornin before I try it again lest Dallas gets smashed against the wall!

I didn't have any issue with the hands or feet... but to get the lights working I had to remove of the packs and getting it back on nearly drove me insane.

I love accuracy, but I wish there was a better way to attach and reattach them. But, now it all works and is back together so I can rest easy.

I just got mine this Christmas and I had a hard time putting the hands on as well. It took several tries with the hairdryer to get them in.

And the batteries in the backpack were horrible as well. I managed to squeeze back there without removing the pack entirely, just loosening the straps. Someone in another thread mentioned that putting 3, not 4, batteries in the back pack make the lights work better. I tried that and it worked like a charm.

Mine never worked and there's no way I'm taking that backpack off.

Seems the batteries were placed in wrong on a lot of them, which required removing the packs and repositioning the batteries.

Bummer is getting the packs back on is a monumental exercise in frustration. My wife had to remind me to take a break it was so bad :lol Even worse that they were a gift from her.

The helmet lights on my Dallas stopped working. I'm going to have to dedicate a weekend to checking the batteries... ;)
When I first opened my Kane, his lights barely came on, and sometimes wouldn't come on at all. I opened up his battery compartment, and found that they had some corrosion on them. I cleaned them off and replaced them, and now I could stick him on the hood of my car when I drive at night, he's so bright.

One of the pegs on the underside of Dallas' helmet is a bit warped... I need to go back and reshape it as I've never gotten it to sit flush like I was able to do with Kane.

Still, even with the annoyances they are fantastic figures.

:lol:lol:lol
Thanks for the heads-up. Will do.

Hot toys = total frustration.
I love them though.

Most definitely.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Has anybody had any deterioration of the rubber or paint problems on these yet? I was thinking about picking them up but, I don't want them to fall apart in a few years.

Not that I've noticed. The most problematic thing about them is getting the lights to work as people have said. I remember the frustration very well, first the helmet batteries wouldn't connect properly, I took an age getting them to work - then spent ages working on the batteries in the backpack and when I finally got those working the helmet lights stopped again. Or maybe it was the other way around which would have been worse - having to undo the backpack twice over.

And to think I'll have to do it all again because I took the batteries out for putting the figures in storage.
